Lawrence had speed

Speed is not the right description for what he had

He represented NSW in track and I think he ran 100 200 and 400 from memory all from St Greg's Campbelltown

From a standing start he went from zero to top speed in a blink of an eye

His defence was terrible at the beginning but he fixed it

Just an outright champion

And just so tough and I can not remember any foul play at all

Overwhelmed? He certainly isn't playing like he did against the Panthers mid season.
He's got serious defensive issues - Centre is not an easy position to defend and you can't put that sort of pressure and expectation on an 18 year old kid, who, let's be honest, was playing schoolboy rugby less than 12 months ago. He needs a lot of work....like a lot of work. He is so far behind what people thought from the trials. He was up against reserve graders for the most part and looked good - NSW Cup is his level at this stage in his career.

With the amount of shoulder injuries in the team, be they out for the season or playing needled up, they must not be getting taught correct tackling technique.

I will acknowledge that can't miraculously happen every tackle, there will be errors of judgement happening in a split second & Doueihi did his reaching out to score but I reckon all up May, Makasini, To'a, KPP, Luai & Herbert all have shoulder issues possibly more. To top it off Madden is playing with a dodgy hamstring.

Fun times in Tiger Town.

His second half in NZL was a highlight. A couple of pre seasons to grow into himself and he’ll be an absolute weapon. Bit of patience required people.

He’s quick enough.

For all Lawrence’s speed he was a liability in defence and was moved to the wing early in his career. He had shocking hands too.

He worked on it and became a star centre.

Pretty weak writing Makasini off already.

Do you remember the night time Broncos game when Darren Lockyer and Tonie Carroll attacked him at centre for most of the night Sheena finally moved Bronson Harrison to defend against them but it was something like 5 try's scored running at Lawrence

Lawrence was an incredible hole runner - not really sure whether Mak knows what he's supposed to be doing out there. Seems asleep/confused/stoned.
I agree weststigers with his hole running, and in the latter part of his career Lawrence would time his run to perfection at angle running coming onto the ball at max speed close to the try line and often score , it really is something our team needs to do now; not this predictable stuff close to the line in attack!!

Yeah mate, not saying he won't get there, but even the greats had a "too early" for first grade age...I think it's too early to elevate him over others that have done an apprenticeship in NSW Cup...he's not good enough yet.

Injuries to May, To’a and Skelton have probably seen him play more than originally planned. I actually think these lessons will help his development.
