Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

jack Todd went ok in the trials for dogs last year the he broke his arm.
We might be able to get him cheap, looks to have some size
Jack Todd was very ordinary against our NSW Cup team on the weekend.
I remember the trial game you are referring to and he did play well, but hasn’t backed it up since.
Logan Spinks looks every bit an NRL player and I think the Bulldogs are trying to keep him out of the limelight so they can try and re-sign him on a lowball contract.
He looks the goods, but is yet another specialist left sided player.

Are we talking about the same bloke , up untill his injury he was a gun backrower, considering he missed so many games , he has come back pretty good , there’s other players u can’t bag , put samuela isn’t one of themUnquestionably

WAS a gun player...but has put little effort in since his return from injury..its quite transparent
Gun talent, but Think something else is going on.or hes adopted Bulas lazy approach once having signed

Logan Spinks is a raw boned country second rower someone we should be looking at or at least make inquires about.

I don’t know what happened to our side after the early winning rounds, but we had an aggressive in your face defensive line speed. As the season has gone on that has disappeared.
It can’t just be injuries it has to be a mindset or an inability to last a full season at that level

I'd take Prestons over Sam any day of the the week. The only Fainu id keep is Sione (more bang for buck). Sam is over rated and injured every 5 minutes and Latu is injury prone too and can't tackle, so does this stupid speed hump maneuver tackle that is only going to lead to time on the sideline.
I'm not sure I agree with you there. Samuela is currently the pick of the bunch. Latu has plenty of potential, but sadly isn't getting developed well here. It's such a shame. Hopefully next year he can get a full season at 6.

Benji’s coaching has to play a part in it.
I might be totally wrong, but Benji seems like a great bloke when everything is rosy, but doesn’t seem to take too kindly on any sort of questioning or confrontation.
If in anyway true, the problem is this attitude makes it very hard to patch things over when any cracks appear.

Losing saps confidence - look at the Broncos and Melbourne both 6/ 8 game losing streak on the back of injuries and lack of quality replacements - in Melbourne's case.

Can you please get this question answered by Benji as it is the same question many Wests Tigers fans have.
Similar to why players such as Tony Sukkar make a couple of bad defensive reads and gets dropped back to NSW Cup, where others can make 100 bad defensive reads of missed tackles and still keep their spot?
Benji’s standards apply to sone, not to others?
Agree. A better question would be, Does anything the club does make any sense at all?

Preston goes missing, good second rower but not worth $800,000 a season.
Preston will be a mainstay of NSW team much before Samuela. At this stage he is turning into the strongest hole runner in the game. The issue we have is we automatically give them preferred choice cause they are wearing our jersey. Sam is a good player but not at jacobs level. Out pf curiosity If he isnt worth 800 how much do we offer Samuela Do u think.

Samu based on only potential $460-$500
Prestons based on what i see $600

I think you will find Samuela will be asking for 800, maybe 900k and I’d imagine market value will allow Preston to get the same.
We can say it’s too much, but when Jarome, Jahream and Terrell are getting paid what they are, you could argue that Samuela or Jacob Preston are more valuable players with their tackle bust and line break ability.

I rate Preston big time. But he only has hole running over Sam. Sam has much better hands, better offloading ability and hits harder. Im choosing Sam over Preston
