Match Review and Judiciary Thread

I think both those outcomes make sense.
Really didn't see Latu getting downgraded. That trip/flip thing he does is just no good.
I reckon Leo Thompson’s stance leaning in to the tackle was half the reason it looked so dramatic .. he was already halfway into a flip lol. IMO Latu put himself on a collision course and was lucky to not get himself seriously injured himself. Just an all round weird situation

But yeah I agree, I never felt like it would get downgraded

So now u can’t hit above the shoulders, and u can’t go low , what comes next , they will paint a spot on the jersey, and that’s the only spot u can hit , all for looking after players but there going over broad,
Fifita’s kick to the head was way worse than and he only got two weeks , there a joke

looks like Sam got one arm around "wrapping" Latu's arm was coming around to wrap, however Thomson lifted his knee and made earlier contact than Latu was expecting. I don't think it warranted a Sin Bin just a penalty, however as some are saying if it gets Latu to not put himself in what is a very dangerous position than its probably worth it in the long run. Imagine that knee connected with his head.

I'm sure Latu's been in trouble before for that tackle it looks like he's trying to use Api's low tackle technique and it's all going wrong, learn from your mistakes and get it right or out of your game.

Latu might have gotten away with the sin bin being seen as sufficient punishment if he didn't have a history of similar efforts, and I have no doubt that his previous indiscretions have long had it listed amongst the important things to look for on their WT match sheets.

Conflicted on the Doueihi one, as I want him playing this weekend, but worried that it allows Benji to continue his sunk cost fallacy of still considering Adam as a halfback.

Yeah, hogball has crept back into his game, back out to the centres for Adam and give Javon a run in the halves.

Interesting question...if Latu was not sin binned or it was missed completely by the ref it still would have been 2 - 3 weeks....I think they should knock a week off if the player was sin binned in the game...or maybe they should add a week if he wasn't. At the moment, unless I'm wrong, you could see 2 almost identical infringements get the same penalty without considering the penalty already served during the game. What's worse, playing down 1 man for 10 mins, or a player suspended for a game in the future that you can cover with a replacement. I would say the former should have more weighting.

Although champion @TheEnz, the judiciary pulled out the "Latu has priors card" and so explains the 3 weeks out, without any reduction on appeal.
