Such a depressing day.
Well, it's been depressing since Richo was ambushed.
A pile on.
Player tells coach that he knows best.
Sure enough, the pile on was inevitable.
And just when the CEO decided to join the forum and enlighten us about where the club was moving forward etc etc - albeit not to do with team decisions.
And there's the Raiders game in a bit.
Maybe against the odds, the boys will find their kahunas.
Doom and gloom is only temporary.
New days bring new surprises.
Players are always replaceable.
The jersey continues.
I will always love this club.
I just forgot there would be days like these.

He's not the fall guy.

Benji wanted 3 attackers. We have run this before with Latu at 13.

Doueihi is the only one of the 3 that is versatile enough to play 13.

It's very simple.

Depends if we want to give the bulk of our NSW Cup team an opportunity to continue their impressive push towards the finals, or if we want to penalise players by making them play in our NRL team?
I can tell you one thing, Javon Andrews is the real deal and is improving each and every week.
We get plenty of criticism for our pathways and I am critical of letting too many good ones go, but whoever was responsible...

Some player.
Very rare that any halves consistently dominate at NSW Cup level like he has this season and he is now at the stage where his confidence level looks through the roof and he knows he can make something happen almost every time he touches the ball.
We are desperate for a Max Plath or Kurt Donoghue style of 13 to really open up the field for a potential Latu Fainu and Javon Andrews halves combination.

AD is a very good ball runner, Luai is not a ball runner or a creator or a thinker, all he does is try and drive others and tackles well when his mind is on the job.
Latu and Javon are both potentially much better all round halves, but until shown otherwise at NRL level, we will not know for certain.
Very risky and stupid if going into a new NRL season with 2 very inexperienced NRL halves without having very good experienced back up options just in case...

You have repeatedly criticised Benji Marshall for not selecting in-form Cup players ahead of underperforming NRL squad members.

The moment he does it (and Douhei is still in the starting team), you are carrying on that Douhei is a scapegoat etc

What are your motives here?

So put Luai in the 13 jersey and what happened today would not have happened.
Yet players need tjo respect the coach, but respect goes both ways and there is no way Doueihi’s actions are solely because of what happened today.

What have I said about the playing group ? Stop shifting the conversation . You’re dribbling shit as usual . His behaviour is unacceptable . If he comes in and apologises and says sorry boys I lost my head . I’d be like nothing to see here . I get it . You had designs on the halves and it’s been pulled out from underneath you .
Even the luai stuff I agree with . It should have been luai first in a perfect world . And the optics that Benji has put luai about the other boys wouldn’t be good . But I don’t think that’s what’s happening here . I think he’s finally bit the bullet and given AD his 2027 position , and I think luai will be dropped if we keep losing by the time Latu comes back.
Bur seriously AD is supposed to be a leader . It really comes down to that . Regardless of his opinions of luai , of which I actually agree with him , you don’t voice it in the open . You throw shit in a closed office and yell and scream. But running to the media is not on. And there’s no defending it.

It wouldn’t have happened because luai is an adult …. I’ve chucked wobbles like that , actually way worse . But when I’ve come down I’ve had to come hat in hand and apologise , because at the end of the day I embarrassed myself . And I’ve been more than justified for my actions . But I shouldn’t have done it , because it’s embarrassing and it’s not how leaders should behave . It’s really poor leadership .
And it’s farken selfish . You can say “oh he’s not headed “ , but that’s just nonsense . Put your shit aside and suck it up . I’ve had to do all kinds of shit I disagreed with , and do it with a smile and even play devils advocate for decisions I disagreed with . Why ? Because the boys underneath you need to see that at the end of the day you just have to get on with it .

He’s been loyal because it was all going his way .. we haven’t won a game since he came back ( with one arm) and our players outside douhei have not had 1 line break .. he put himself over the team and he needed his wings clipped and to play a different role and now he could not accept it..

Javon is good enough to rise above it all,, he is a born footballer .. when he e have Latu and him in the halves with Haywood feeding them we willl look amazing especially if we have TMay and Averillo outside kpp and SFainu .. happy days are ahead

Exactly! Especially also after going to the judiciary and getting him off his suspension so he could play. I’ve always liked Douehi but this behaviour clearly shows he’s just a wanker full of his own self importance.

There’s obviously so much unrest happening in this team right now for him to do this, imo. No wonder they can’t win a game.
 
Who have we gone after who don’t want to sign . We wanted averillo and got him . And the only other player I’ve seen us in on , Spencer Leniu and Blore , one is touring the COE this week and the other is waiting for his club to allow him to negotiate .

I don’t know for a fact and haven’t got Douehi on my contact list if that’s what you are asking, but based on attending a lunch where a portion of the playing group were present last year and snippets of information I had heard before that, today’s events come as no surprise.
