Adam Doueihi #227

Brett kimmorley confirmed that sookee doowee is a big selfish crybaby

Interesting isn't it, the club relies on circling the wagons with a fortress mentality; the team pulling together as a cohesive unit to make up for our lack of depth and top talent across the park. The players responded in the early to mid-rounds and then it all came apart. We need Doueihi to at least be competitive against the Raiders.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I belleve Doueihi may be playing injured. Wasn't it his shoulder?
The point I responded to was that you believed he should have been playing centre in front of Herbert instead of starting off the pine and into the 13 rotation with Twally. What has him playing injured have to do with the statement? I covered the why they may have chosen not to put him into centre in my reply.

However, yes, 100% he is carrying an injury. He would be carrying it regardless if he was at centre, where you wanted him selected in place of Herbert, or off the pine playing at lock where, in the opinion fo the coaching staff, he has more influence on our attack and allows Twal to reinforce the prop rotation.

The player, the performace staff and the coaching staff all believe he was fit enough to play. So the shoulder is irrelevant to the discussion of what postion the coaching staff think is in the best interests of the team.

None of us armchair coaches have the clipboard or the inside knowledge to make decisions; but in the minds of those with the knowledge AD off the pine into the 13 rotation was the best option for the team. We can only judge the quality of that call after the game has been played - unfortunately now we don't have that hindsight opportunity to big note ourselves post game.

If what mole says is true ……

This is the shit I have been concerned about with having the may and fainu bros. Not saying this has to do anything with them , it’s this clique culture. Piss one of the bros or someone in the clieque you have divided team or players dictating
Mole is the least credible journo, I’m pretty sure he’s admitted he creates headlines from reading Facebook posts / stuff on here

I can't see a way back unless Adam comes out and mentions its purely his competitive nature and won't do it again. If he does that, then benji can probably pick him in half next week. But benji can't do that without that public acknowledgement from Adam now - otherwise it looks like he caved

A week off was a poor, poor option.

A forum member last night stated that Doueihi had done more than enough to hold his position in the team. I cannot disagree with this and while I support Marshall as coach, I do find his selection at 13 puzzling especially with what I consider to be the added defensive workload and carrying a shoulder injury.

If the story is true that Isaac is already acting for him , he will already have his next club already lined up

It’s been reported Marshall wanted him to play 13 in attack and then shifted to the edge in defense

Bigger issue is Benji putting our best player out of position and playing a guy who leaving this year
Luai offered to play with the Magpies if it helps Benji’s roster decisions, but it wouldn’t be a good look having your highest paid player not selected for WT? There’s been a little sarcasm in Doueihi’s passes of late.
(running toward the outside player and throwing the pill under 7s style).
So our “best player” may not be playing to his title.

Benji is out of his depth. This just highlights the fact that no one respects him and they're happy to tell him to his face. So glad the club extended Benji after everyone was chasing him.. 4 years straight he'll have missed the finals with an even worse squad next year.

Take into account we have a board overseeing all final decisions on player and coach contracts and you have a complete and utter basket case of a club. Business as usual
If a players won’t play in position chosen how much of a game do you think they will follow a game plan especially if they would prefer to play differently. Putting the blame on anyone bar Adam for walking out in this instance is wrong.
Each situation on its own merits and Benji > Ad in this one

AD is one of my favourite players but if the team's leadership group has any backbone, they'll be standing up at training this morning and telling the rest of the playing group that AD is gone and for anyone who supports him to stand up and make themselves known.

But to be honest, it might ring a bit hollow if Luai is part of that group?

I tend to agree I think he is gone, unfortunately IMO.

I hope Luai has put pen to paper with Parra, because I think this would otherwise jeaporadise his deal there. AD and Moses would be the perfect fit, and also a long term one.

Otherwise I see Dragons and Perth as options for him
