2026 Commonwealth Games

Can’t believe I’ve missed the start of these games, I thought they started in August! I’ve heard nothing about them on social media or anywhere. I’ve missed so much 😞 Everything in the news has been the bloody Wests Tigers implosion!

ATHLETICS HAS ARRIVED
🇦🇺
🔥

Rose Davies claims Australia’s first gold medal on the track at Glasgow 2026, taking out the 10,000m in a time of 31:39.32.

Sensational - Rose Davies absolutely superb taking gold for Australia, while Florence Niyonkuru gives Rwanda its first ever Commonwealth Games or Olympics medal.

Rose Davies surged clear with two laps to go, after she broke away, and then keep going over the last two laps to end up winning comfortably by over 10 seconds, to claim a historic gold medal in the Commonwealth Games women's 10,000m final in Glasgow.

Scottish swimmer Archie Goodburn has terminal brain cancer.

And yet the 25-year-old continues to live fully, competing in front of family and a supporting nation at the Commonwealth Games.

His story transcends sport. Reminding us about the power of the human spirit.

Archie Goodburn is one of the best sport stories in ages.
25 and battling brain cancer, he just got 7th in the 50m breaststroke final in the Commonwealth Games. Genuinely unbelievable feat.

The Aussie women deliver another masterclass in the 4x200m freestyle relay.

Lani Pallister, Hannah Casey and Inez Miller set Mollie O’Callaghan up with a strong lead - and she brought it home in style.

Yeah I found it last night. I work most afternoons up until 7.30pm and I’m usually buggered by 10.30-11pm, too bloody old to stay up all night lol. I’ll have to check out all the replays on 7 plus. Hate it when the games are too far on the other side of the world.
