TEAM LIST Team vs Eels [Round 22]

Team List
This continues to be the next chapter in a horror story book. What is Benji thinking?

I could understand if he sits all our vets and runs with our rookies to prepare for 2027, but this lineup makes no sense.

Mathematically, we can still take the spoon, depending on how the Dragons play.

I actually have a lot of respect for your opinions on most occassions which are well thought out and articulated. But I really can't get on board with this one.....

AD publicly humiliated the coach the club and his teammates in the media.....

His manager has been leaking to the media for the best part of the week .....

The fact that the rest of the team is onboard with him returning after his poor behaviour highlights the poor culture and lack of standards within the club....

There should be a consequence to his actions and they should be proportionate.....

But to me the response is weak and designed to kick the can down the road.....
I know exactly where you are coming from. I was very much of the same opinion until I took as step backand tied to look at it with my biases asisde. I did not say that I agree with how this went down, or the end result, but I can see the reasoning behind it.

Understanding and agreeing are tow different things. Given the messaging from the club, if Benji was of the opinion that playing AD at 7 this week was our best chance of getting a positive result then the decision, without blowback is the right one.

As much as I would like to see AD's arse kicked until his nose bleeds, from a personal satisfaction point of view, at this point in time it probably isn't the right move.

I'm sure Benji isn't loving making the decision, but if this is truly a leadership decision it shows real moral courage.

We don't know the depth to the matter, so it is best to look at it objectively and try to understand. That is really all we can do; the alternative is to have the shits - doesn't do anyone much good.

What does our club stand for mate?

How will we ever win on the field when we are a turnstile off it.

Pitchforks at ten paces.
Douehi is in our top 17. The options are Javon rookie and or Mason
This game is about API and our best chance is with Douehi in - in that's simple.
We know what Douehi is about and he carries that burden now - hopefully it may produce a good game.
Benji will live or die by his results like all coaches but given what he has got to work with this week and to have the best chance of winning - I get it even if I don't like it
That spine couldn’t score in a brothel, they haven’t looked like winning in 6 weeks. The players he brought up from Cup didn’t even play well last week in cup but thats our best chance of winning, really!!!. I do not care if AD can part the sea HE SHOULDN’T SEE NRL AGAIN THIS YEAR. Parra will put 40 on us comfortably

It all depends on what was discussed at the meeting. None of us know? Has Benji had a team discussion that has informed his decision etc. All I am saying is that there is no need to be melting down over the decision; if they have moved on and the playing group are OK, and it is the best decision in relation to our chances of getting a W then it is supportable. We don't have to like it, just try to understand it.

If we breached and sacked AD and it would probably be Hang your pants out defending AD against us at 10 paces. That wouldn't help us much this year, and in the end both sides would be losers as AD's reputation would be shot and, to many, we would appear to being vindictive.

There is plenty of time for this to play out and we don't necessarily have to be on the lsing side here. Before I did a deep dive on this overnight and this morning I was very much of the opinion that we had two options - sack him or paly him reggies at 13. I have moved on from that postion

Isaac Moses runs our club, we just aren’t aware of it.

Your basically banging your head against a wall . Presuming most see AD's antics as switching the life support system off for any mathematical hope we had for this year - let them grieve.
This AD nonsense might just kick start the corpse

Concern for me wasn’t the selection of AD but the rest of the team. Why were the kids the ones scapegoated? Who looks after player development because their seems to be no planning with it

It comes down more to what we don't know rather than what we do. For Doueihi to create mayhem then stroll back into the team as if nothing has happened means that a deal has been done, and threats and promises have been made. I imagine there are now factions within the team, internal rumblings, players considering there options etc., and if so, we need to get behind Benji until the full story sees the light of day. Someone mentioned that Benji may have been given until round eight next year to turn the ship around, and he at least deserves that chance.

Positive spin - the bench is full of players that aren;t here next year ,some maybe ?
We all spout about junior development ,well why push the next level of hopefuls into a 6 week grind to hopefully get a win.

The depth of this matter is pretty clear J.

According to Dooeee himself, Isaac Moses is not his player agent/manager, but rather, a person he talks to from time to time. There has never ever been any statement by Dooeee or Moses regarding any contractual arrangement or financial benefit to Moses. So, why was he there on Monday? It can't have been due to the player selection issue cos he has no right to tell the coach who to pick and where. He can't have been there as a welfare supporter for Doooee cos that's not Moses' Job. Dooeee could/should have called in the Player's Union Rep if he needed support on an HR related matter. No, Moses' role was very simple - intimidation and threats to reveal a litany of vaping allegations and mean words, just like he did with the Galvin disruption.

Moses' job is as a Player Agent - he is responsible for negotiating player contracts - end of story. If Dooeee has engaged him for this purpose, then that has not been made public. Threatening and intimidating the Tigers to start to clear Dooeee from the club early, without penalty, is a classic Moses extortion MO! That is the lowest depth that this saga has reached J. PVL should have banned him for life. I just saw Kent's Youtube bullshit and it was all briefing notes from Moses. What stays in the room indeed, Melloncamp - Richo would never ever have let this happen. Rant over - Watching a repeat of the 2005 GF to calm my nerves. 🍻 🐯

Maybe Dooeee is as weak as most consider him to be ,and is unwilling to admit he has a vampire as his manager .
Has young Albert crunched out the numbers on his abuccus ,regarding this matter ?
