Wests Tigers to Wests Lions rebrand

Are people not entitled to their opinions? As soon as censoring occurs, there will be a new version of language that restricts thought. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as long as it’s presented as a smart concept and open to debate.

My opinion is that HBG has done a poor job @mrcasino
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Nobody is entitled to a platform for it.That distinction matters on a privately moderated forum.

If that were true, we wouldn’t have federal, state or local representatives. I haven't made any comments that are derogatory, and in reality you don't own the forum.

He's right. Kul could delete all your posts if he wants.

You can open a new forum and give your opinion there though. Nothing stopping you.

I will become your first member to get you started if you like?

The reason I think it should be locked is because this thread is about Wests Tigers becoming known as Wests Lions which is completely false. I was not referring to anything else.

But if the owner was the one telling you, there wouldn’t be a thing you could do about it. This isn’t a public square. If you go to someone’s house, and start shouting through their window, and they tell you to leave, are you going to tell them you have a right to voice your opinion?

Wow. It's a forum. I found the info by luck scrolling through nrl/ tigers videos on youtube and put it on here so others could see. I did mention I thought it was a cheeky rumour but still it could possibly be true or have some truth to it. Forums are for discussions. Please don't start this lefty pants crazy controlling of speech.... get enough of that from the leftist Labor party.

Sure, I agree with that. I'm not on our forum to break any rules. I'm here to improve conversational debate and discuss why as a club we're finding it hard to turn the corner.

They didnt play 8 games at CampbellItown though where we have a 3/21 win record or something...

They are abandoning leichardt where we win games.
The Federal $20m, State $10m and Inner West $10m levels of govt contributed to the upgrade of Leichhardt Oval and yet we have the CEO advising he plans only to play 3 games at the venue. If anyone needed proof of a disconnect between WTs, the various levels of govt and our supporters, here it is. This is extremely disappointing because supporters vote with their wallets and WTs' games at Leichhardt Oval are nearly always well attended against out of Sydney teams. Plus the atmosphere at Leichhardt Oval is superb. Why do we not play to our strengths especially when we are facing tough times? Surely you take advantage of every opportunity including making it hard for opposition teams by playing at Leichhardt.

Because we are a dumb football club who care more about politics than winning nrl games

I think when Richardson committed 15 years to Leichhardt it spelt his death knell with the board - not hard to figure out why they were not happy about it. For those who think they are not more concerned with preserving the past at the expense of the present the under use of Leichhardt speaks volumes.
No one can give a logical reason for not using Leichhardt once renovated other than the fact that it is linked to the wrong side of the JV even though it is considered one on the best "home" grounds in the NRL to play at.
They are masquerading as being supporters of Wests Tigers and 2030 is getting closer.
Whats three more seasons of poor results to endure when they have overseen 15.

Trouble is, even after renovations, both Leichhardt and Campbelltown will not be to NRL standards with seating numbers. I recall 25k is the magic number. I suggested previously we use Leichhardt for NRL and Campbelltown for the lower grades seeing as they're building a COE there for the lower grades and district. Lidcombe should be given flick.

Seems to work fine for Manly and Cronulla Kogarah...

other clubs are happy to brand as Dolphins or Dogs
not this place we have to always be wests tigers even when tou look at the nrl ladder, all other clubs are listed by mascot, dogs storm eels dragons
not this place though, it says it all.

The Tiger is an underused emblem at thai club

You can't even get the orange jersey anymore it sold out mid year, you.cant get the tracksuit.
They just re released the orange jersey last week
Great timing end of the year when we are done and dusted in a 6 or 7 game losing spree
But the orange was available
