Surely a good kicking coach can teach them to time the kick to get more distance?
Pat Richards has been around the team on and off for a long time, not sure if he's been able to teach anyone too much when it comes to the art of kicking.

I suppose that at the same time you could say that Brett Hodgson hasn't been able to pass on too many full back skills either.

Yeah, I know I'm probably being a bit harsh as usual.

valid points though.....

He is not the only one that needs to improve their tackling skills, Although the overpaid one is off to the Eels
What he does need to do, is pull his head out of his arse…
Looking down the camera before he scored, jogging it in and flopping over the line when we’ve missed 3 kicks, and are playing the Roosters. The complacency in the joint is impressive!

Is it just me, or have others noticed that several tries that we scored, the players going over to score made no effort to put the ball down closer to the posts, in particular, one that stood out was Sol's try, he had so much space and time to put the ball down much closer to the posts, and thereby giving our kicker a much simpler chance of conversion, instead he just ran straight with no intent of making things simpler for the kicker.
You can tell Appi has smarts, when he went over for his try, he intentionally ran several meters towards the posts to put the ball down, even Gus noticed this and made comment. Surely the coaching staff would be all over this as it can mean the difference between winning and losing with those extra two points.

Nofoaluma made a career out of it,
Not running 1 more metre that he had to.

As I said above,
WT's complacency is next level!!

Not sure what the issue was..either we were so elated to score against the premiership favourites..or we just don't have a lot of smarts ..?
Or maybe a bit of both

Was just Solo really but it was his second game he’ll learn. Jeral had no room

Not just you. Sukkar literally swan diving away from the posts and then Jock misses what should have been an unmissable kick. Footy IQ basics, they are inexperienced players but it’s just unprofessional. Lucky escape in the end.

I don’t think they really gave a shit. It was more about scoring tries rather than being tactical.

Considering we’d missed the 2 conversions out wide before Solo’s try, yes it was slack of him not trying to improve the position when he had time. Either that or he was just happy to get the ball down for 4 points and not risk any possible stuff ups trying to get closer to the posts.
