Not sure I have an opinion on this, but do many people see Burton as a halfback?
If there is any potential for a swap with AD, and a longer term deal for Burton.
I would be guaranteeing Burton the 7 jersey for 12 months. Over that 12-months, give Latu the 6 jersey.
Allow Javon a full season at halfback in reserves next year, and then Burton to lock in 28’.

No, definitely not Burton as half back.
Nothing to do with Poly’s.
I never liked the idea of them being allowed into our national competition.
It’s the NRL … not the IRL.
Same goes for the Chiefs.

Burton is not a 7 and very similar to AD just with a bigger boot and less selfish.
Good player but we don’t need another left sided 6.

Forget about signing any props for 2027 as the last decent option with proven NRL experience being Sam Hughes has just re-signed with the Bulldogs for another 12months and seemingly no interest from us.
Toby Rudolf is also currently off contract, but I reckon he would be looking for a higher value contract than what we can afford and by his own admission he wants to start focusing more on his post football media career.
I’ve seen a few mentions of Jack Underhill who supposedly wants out of the Bulldogs and maybe the reason why they have kept Sam Hughes for another 12 months. He showed some promise in a couple of NRL games off the bench earlier in the season, but he looks to be a very no frills type of player, not sure he offers any more than our own Vaka Aho or Archie Duncombe.

Seen him many a time staggering around pissed trying not to fall in the urinals within the demountable bathrooms at Leichhardt.....
He is a frequent flyer on the hill.
No I don't think he should be playing halves tbh.
I think his best position is Centre, and he could possibly play lock or fullback.

He played 1 game of first grade for parra, don't quote but I think he filled in for a game Sterlo was out.
We need grunt severely in the middle. Our depth is extremely low but we never prioritise this area. Hope I'm proven wrong and we get someone decent, but like you said, running out of options.

Just noticed the Flegg team list for this must-win vs Bunnies to make the 5. A young bloke called Kit Laulllilllilliii or some such is running around. Looks a package. Scored a beauty vs Roosters last weekend. Hope we don't lose him. Hmmmmm.

It's about time we started focusing on forwards from in house, any from outside with the demand will start get to ridiculous asking prices from now on.
Forwards into their twenties need to be made ready for 1st grade, start whipping their arses into shape, time to find out who wants it, especially props
