The talent should always be best paid, no problem with that Tom.
I do have an issue with PVL and the way he’s selling the game and the PNG team startup rules are just cheating. But if you’re happy with that maybe I miss read the room. I wonder how much PVL has skimmed of the NRL the politicians and PNG? I would not be surprised if he’s holding hands with China while he’s doing them over.

Well NRL can't really do that. They've had some kind of informal rule for a long while, that you can't registered BS value contracts, but they also can't compel clubs to "match the highest offer".

Roosters would have 50 signings that "accepted less money to be in the Roosters culture".

There's also an emerging legal issue if NRL attempts to block a player's preferred destination.

Well..they can’t force him not to go …so you are correct there

They can force PNG to record $1.1m on their cap for him even if they paid him less ..the NRL should have done similar for DCE ..

Anyway …like I said it appears Young is not going there now

so does this mean Bula is not getting surgery now ? Or perhaps he is getting the surgery after the World Cup and will miss the start of the season ?
