Middlesbrough defeats QPR 1-0 overnight.
Middlesbrough moved up to second in the Championship and ended QPR's unbeaten start to the season with a narrow victory in west London.
Will Lankshear grabbed his seventh goal since his summer move from Tottenham Hotspur in the 20th minute as Boro won on the road for the first time since a 4-0 success at this ground in March.
They missed chances to go further ahead with home goalkeeper Pierce Charles making crucial saves from Lankshear and Tommy Conway.
Without that, QPR grew in belief and were close to an equaliser when Harvey Vale struck the woodwork, while Radek Vitek made some good stops as the hosts slipped one place to third with this defeat after opening with three wins and a draw.

West Ham defeat Derby County 3 zip overnight.
Substitute Edvin Austbo scored his first goal for West Ham to help them overcome Derby County and string back-to-back wins together for the first time since January.
Joel Piroe had put the dominant Hammers up early on, meeting a knock-down header from Taty Castellanos to prod home from point-blank range.
Rams goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom made a number of saves to keep the visitors in the contest until late on, only for Austbo to put the game beyond the Rams with a slotted finish in the 87th minute.
Mohamadou Kante also came off the bench to score his first goal for the club, completing West Ham's second win in five days after they beat Wolves 4-2 for their first Championship triumph of the season.
West Ham thoroughly outplayed Derby for the three points just a day after Daniel Kretinsky increased his stake in the club to 46%, which has effectively frozen former Newcastle director Amanda Staveley out from her attempts to invest in the London club.
While the boardroom moves made headlines before kick-off, it was captain Jarrod Bowen who helped shift the focus back to action in the early minutes at the London Stadium.
It was his cross to the back post that Castellanos cushioned back across goal for Piroe to prod home.
Derby never recovered from the early setback.

The Gunners come back from any early goal down to defeat Chelsea 2-1.
Reigning champions Arsenal came from behind to beat big-spending Chelsea in a pulsating London derby at Emirates Stadium.
Chelsea stunned the home fans by taking a second-minute lead through £117m summer signing Morgan Rogers' volley after the Gunners failed to clear Reece James' free-kick.
That was the first goal Mikel Arteta's side have conceded this season.
Despite their flying start, Chelsea had not kept a clean sheet in their previous 18 Premier League games and Xabi Alonso's side were forced to withstand wave after wave of Arsenal pressure.
Emiliano Martinez denied Bukayo Saka, while Jorrel Hato and Wesley Fofana each made crucial blocks before the Gunners levelled in the 25th-minute after former Chelsea forward Kai Havertz beat Martinez at his near post with a well-placed finish.

Southampton defeat Swansea City 3-1 overnight.
Southampton ended Swansea City's unbeaten start to the new Championship season as goals from Finn Azaz, Cyle Larin and Leo Scienza gave the Saints an impressive 3-1 victory at St Mary's.
Azaz's smart touch and left-foot finish gave Southampton an early lead before Larin touched in the second – his fifth goal in six league games this season – to put Tonda Eckert's team in control before the break.
Swansea improved in the second half and gave themselves hope of a comeback when Zan Vipotnik swept in his first goal of the campaign from the penalty spot after he had been pulled back by James Bree.
But as the early-season league leaders threw men forward in their search for an equaliser, a rapid Southampton counter-attack ended with the outstanding Scienza stroking home the killer third goal from 16 yards.
Defeat means Swansea slip to second in the table, behind West Ham on goal difference, while a host of sides below have a game in hand.
Southampton are only two points worse off having made it three straight home league victories – and 11 goals along the way – at the start of 2026-27.

'Ull have had a good start to the year. Herrington been a standout at the back too, hope to see great things for this kid, he was excellent in the games he played at the world cup. Kept Salah in his pocket.

Ugly or not, the Hammers look great. Jarrod is a champ, but I think Konstantinos will be a future star… if they can hold on to him. There are a few clubs sniffing around.
