OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

I once heard Nathan talk about how jarome was the better player growing up. I reckon theres an element of jealousy that Nathan is the one who kicked on.
That may well be true. He was not a mug lair when he first hit grade. That came with success. Remember when the whole RL world were sick of Smug Penrith? He was the orchestrator and leader of that.
Re-watch the final 20 minutes of that GF some time. He almost looked unhappy his mates fought and won like that without him.

The social media stuff is the part that doesn't get me mad. I'm pissed at the lack of impact he has had on the field but the other stuff is a bit overblown. Such as his relationship with Benji and the players at the club which has zero evidence and all assumptions. The Galvin drama affected the whole club last year even after he left the building. The PNG decision in April was something the club approved for him to go to and the club has since moved him on a year early on his contract. It's mutual. The performances of guys like Terrell May and Bula for large parts of the season can't be blamed on one guy. Otherwise next year when someone is in a form slump who is going to be the fall guy then? Making excuses does nothing.
He's got a revolting personality and he's not a cleanskin so he will get dumped on. All that anime rubbish, he's done that his whole career, it's nothing new.

There is a fall guy for every year and this year is him.

The issues are way deeper.

At the end, losers have villains, winners have heroes.

The money grab didnt bother me and shouldnt bother any adult who need to provide for their family. But the trip to png post cowboys game and not turning up to the end of season awards are an issue.

As of this day,
He's getting paid (well) by the club.
The end of season event, Is a club commitment to sponsors, fans, team mates and staff.
(Some of who won't be there next year)

He's the FN Captain!!

The world isn't big enough for him not to be there, Just for his responsibilities.
let alone to thank everyone involved for his time here.

I think you're missing the whole point, That would be the furthest thing from his mind.
- This bloke thinks he's Achillies.

The level of ego is almost immeasureable.

lol rubbish. If you play the game and try hard, you don’t cop “vitriol” on here. Due to decades of trash footy from our club, our fans can quickly spot a bloke who doesn’t have a go.
For example, Adam Doueihi was a forum favourite for most of this year, with even his “haters” admitting he was playing good footy. When he dogged the team, attitudes changed.

The fan base turning against the players so quickly after a couple of poor performances is self-fulfilling. The negativity stinks up the joint, media writes crap which our fans lap up, confidence hits rock bottom and players want out. Rinse and repeat. Only question is who is next? Makasini?

The counterpoint to that is we asked him to move on and we actually broke contract first. We didn't really give him a proper send off, he's got fans like us happy that he's out the door.

I agree, he still should have turned up to the awards and not gone to golf but things got shaky before that.

When you have had a dozen bad break ups, it can't always be her..

JL is one person, this Club still has a lot to learn about being professional, just like JL.

Yes I also heard that he was the gun in junior footy, maybe he should have got his Dad to coach at Penrith 🤣🤣🤣

Again, that’s rubbish.
You are not giving fans near enough credit for their knowledge.
You are commenting about a forum that has a lot of older members, who’ve seen it all.
Criticising a kid who loses games on his own is totally fair…and he did. Hopefully he learns from that and more importantly his coach does.
100% not ready for this level and it was the fan and media hype train that got him there.

Which one?

He’s been in Samoa since last game promoting World Cup and visiting family.
I’d say that Benji and the players all knew that and that he wouldn’t be there.
As he’s leaving I don’t see the issue, maybe better that they start to move on now without him around.
Would he even make the Samoan team?
Probably a bit facetious…I would have him there but maybe not as a starter.

I dont disagree. The club has been a problem for a long time now, nothing seems to change. But I also dont blame fans for being salty. It doesnt get any easier when this sort of thing happens year after year.
