Positives for the year 2026

Twal & Pole were the standouts for me in what was another disappointing season where we go on a long streak of losses and lose a ton of confidence.

The season started well, but we have no depth. Our best 17 can make the finals, we just need to keep them on the field.

I was happy with round 25, 25-24 win over the Rooster. We still had some bit left in the Tiger

Ethan Roberts and Javon Andrews went well for rookies.

Heamasi Makasini will be better for the increased experience and can see him being a great player in the future.

I love Api he is a great leader.

Your positives for the year?
I'm pretty positive Bunji screwed the pooch

We were a top 4 side thru Rd 8 when we thrashed the Raiders at LO
However during that game
Bula got injured
KPP failed his HIA
Api got binned and got 3 match suspension
Then onto Rd 9 where Douehi scored try and dislocated his shoulder in the 10th minute
In the same game Samuela broke his foot
On top of this Taylan May is a " crock " giving little game time
FFS he went off injured 15 mins into our 1st game of the season !

So take out Bula ,Kpp, Api , Samuela and Douehi and Taylan you have a big hole
Other clubs have DEPTH where the replacements are also NRL standard whereas WT replacements are kids or Cup level quality at best !
Benji made huge bets backing the kids but these were bad bets
His final presser he seemed to almost admit this !
Admission is one thing but doing something about it is something else
So far just 2 recruits Averillo and Brailey seems a very token effort in this regard .
Continued failure makes attracting real talent difficult

X2

Until we had injuries we looked good.

Sam Fainu was a machine.

Twal really stepped up.

Pole had a great year.

KPP was awrsome until injured.

Latu Fainu finished the season great.

Cant believe our Rookie of the year award
Makasini ?
To win this award you would have had to have had a few great games
I can't think of one ?
Always a defensive liability and in attack ?
Scored 1 try in Rd 3 by diving on a grubber .That's it !
If he is rookie of the year how low are our standards !

Who was your choice?

Who was your choice?
If Rookie means 1st season in the NRL then the choices are limited would probably give it to Tavana he had a lot to do with beating Warriors
Although his game vs Sharks probably the worst game on record
If just first season with Tigers then Madden was good as was KPP
Douehi was clearly our best player until he dislocated his shoulder 10 mins into Rd 9 . That was the turning point of our season

So really no one else?

You would have to be an over the top rusted on one eyed supporter to take anything out of this season that would give you optimism for the next couple of years. Things we get excited about are expected at other clubs.

We are a club grossly under funded and poorly managed but you still expect guys who are been paid massive overs in most cases to have a dig and not put the white flag up when things get hard.

The only thing I can take out of this season into next is depression
