Well we now have Schuster, so if that was such a bad idea, why do we now have him?
The money which was rumoured at the time was obviously far too much and that should have been a simple discussion advising “Your recommendation for Josh Schuster is a good one, but unfortunately he is asking for much more money than what we are prepared to pay him”.
Not just sack the bloke.

Yeah, must be the rookie coach with no experience.. definitely wouldnt be the people who appointed him and pay him millions.
You were saying it was a bad recommendation wasn’t you?
The Head of Recruitment finds and recommends players, but doesn’t determine what price we offer, that is the Coach, Head of Football/CEO and Salary Cap manager.
If the player being recommended is asking for too much money, you say thanks but no thanks and move on to the next player.
It wouldn’t be the person who give him full control and nobody to answer to.

Well he should t have been involved in salaries.
Head of Recruitment should be finding and recommending players and that’s where his involvement ends.
The Coach, Head of Football/CEO and Salary Cap Manager should determine the money being offered.
By the sounds of things, that is what is now being reviewed in regards to future appointments such as the assistant coach.

Maybe that was the last straw, but reading between the lines it sounds very much like Shaun was happy with the qualifications and qualities of Pat Richard’s being given the role.
We do not yet know of Pat Richard’s will do a good job or not, again many people jumping to conclusions insinuating he will not do a good on without really knowing his capabilities.

Yes they are not very good at hiring the right people.
That doesn’t surprise me as it seems their board is mainly made up of lawyers, company directors and business owners who highly likely know far less about about rugby league than you, I or many others on this forum.
The oeople who were part of the Independent Board were in the same bucket, none of them were true rugby league people.
We need an independent board, but it should include people who actually live and breathe rugby league, not solely people with good business acumen.

Thats a lie. That person answered to the board. That person also had the club turning a profit. Also told everyone the club had been lying about memberships.. the list goes on as to the great things he did..
But yeah, again, blame everyone but hbg mate.
Richo gave benji enough rope to hang himself... if he failed, he would have been gone..
Hbg extended the bloke for 5 years and no clauses around full payout!!@

Yeah I tend to agree with this. I liked Fulton and what and who he brought to the club. Benji seems to have trouble getting along with people quite a lot, shame it didn't work out with Fulton. Who knows who else he might’ve brought to the club.
