Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't understand why any club would want to build a team around two families. It makes absolutely no sense.

We have three Fainus (possibly four if Manase gets signed) and maybe three Mays in the squad.

If they don't get their way, they'll hold the club to ransom. If they leave, we'll be absolutely screwed.

This is the stupidest recruitment strategy and logic I've ever seen from this club.
Never heard of the Mortimer and Hughes brothers at Canterbury?
Seemed to work pretty good.

If you want to compare the Mortimer and Hughes families to the Fainu and May families, you're dreaming. They won three premierships.

Since the Fainu and May families have been at our club, we have come -

2024: (Last place / wooden spoon)
2025: 13th
2026: 15th

No, not Accor Stadium, hold it at Allianz.

There won't be as many empty seats (TV optics are crucial for sponsors, gaining new fans etc), the atmosphere would be better & there's more to do closer to the City & Eastern suburbs than there is in Homebush & surrounds before & or after the game 😉
But the parking is way better at accor, and the west tigers have a better winning percentage there, plus more bathrooms , if theres a empty seat, it means I can sit closure to the oval.

You are the king of oversimplifying things on here. Correlation does not equal causation. The Fainus and Mays don't really rate in the top 100 problems our clubs has.

Where they finished and where we finished is not the point.

They’re on the field, so they are part of it. However, I agree that in a list of 100 problems with our club, they only make the bottom 13.

The reality is results matter.

What? The point is winning. That is why we play the game.

I don't understand why so many supporters give our team a 'get out of jail' card after getting flogged every season.

We haven't made the top eight since 2011. We have the longest finals drought of any NRL club.

I believe Manu is contracted next season in French Rugby still but that season finishes early so he could be a late June 30 signing for a club before heading up to PNG.

Yep - to be honest though, Tedesco will be 34 next year and it wouldn't surprise me if Roosters shift him to centre/wing with Ramsey at fullback to facilitate the transition early
