You know when it happens...that sudden, dawning realization that a severe problem has occurred, a mistake has been made, or a situation is completely out of control..
No dramas, let's keep it light if you can, please!

Just recently had rego renewal for the car, went to compare the market to see if I could get a better quote for a green slip
Budget Direct was about $100 less than my current green slip...went ahead and bought it online, tried to do rego an hour later.... still no greenslip.
little did I know I had purchased some BS "third party property only" instead of CTP.
Had to call, cancel the policy which thankfully was smooth...and just went with my original CTP
I have never been a careful reader

I had heaps growing up , particularly when I stayed at my mates place who lived on the Brisbane River
Here is a list
Was looking for a good spot to jump from a tree or build a swing to jump from the rivers edge
It was a Sunday morning so his family had gone to church , so I climbed this tree and it looked really promising , then crack , the branch breaks and I initially get stuck with my shirt on the branch ( so I thought ) and then luckily fall into the water
I then go to grab a tree stump to pull myself out of the water .....and as I'm getting out look at my arm .....it is spurting out blood ....I get out quickly and climb up the river bank and then remember I'll have to go to the neighbours place .....( and my friends didn't get on with the neighbours ) Fortunately the neighbours was hanging out the washing and saw me walking over . They had cleaned me up a bit and were about to call the ambos when the friends I was staying at came home and they took me to hospital 20kms away
13 stitches later and about a week later ...infected to the eyeballs and spent the night before a chemistry exam waiting for someone to clean it up
From then on , if stayed with that mate on a Saturday night off to Church Sunday

Same place , we decided to move the cubby house from the top of the bank to a flat area about half way down the riverbank , so we cleared the lantana out and moved it board by board down to the new spot
So we are about to start constructing and I stand on a piece of timber , yow stand on a nail .....go to put my other foot down and double yow ....stood on another nail ....what are the odds 🤔

And finally ( and this one does have a very sad ending )
We'd gone up the river skiing with Dad and my mates and saw this nice spot to go camping
At a later time we decided to paddle up to this spot and camp the night and then come back the next day
Boys being boys we started playing up and when we were almost there we flipped the boat , the esky didn't sink , but everything else did including the shirt I had taken off , cooking utensils , etc
We'd paddled for 4 to 5 hours so we decided to stay at this spot overnight still and paddle back the next day
It was a very hot day coming back and with no sunburn cream or shirt I got burnt to crisp and missed 3 days of school it was that bad
The very sad bit , that same beautiful camping spot ( Kholo Creek ) became the dumping spot for a murder victim many years later

At work our HR Director send out an email saying that our Employer was rated in a list of the top 10 places to work.

I forwarded (I thought) to my work colleague saying that we must have paid our way in as some of the other companies on the list were a bit dodgy.

My colleague never received my email. I went back and checked and I had replied to the HR Director instead

All insurance have to come with 28 day cooling off period.

Have a friend that struggles with finance so does about 3 cooling off period each time before buying 12 months insurance

Many years ago we borrowed a car on a night out in Newcastle, got as far as the old hexham bridge did the right thing and push the car off the bridge to the side of the road, we decided in a very wise thought process flagged the first car down the road, turned out to be the desk Sargent at Raymond Terrace who knew our names and was not nice after that as he rang our parents at 1am on a Sunday to come collect their sons from a Police Station.
