I’m not asking him to publicly shit on the club but we hear the club talk about how they’re focusing on standards. Yet the GM of footy is praising the performance at the end of the year where we won one game across 13 rounds.

If the club can’t be honest about its flaws and issues then nothing will ever change.

Well Averillo even on a bad day is a much better right centre option than anyone we played there during the 2026 season.
If he gets injured or played in a other position, we will be back tj the same struggles we had during the 2026 season.
Can Turuva bounce back from an extremely mediocre 2026 season?
I doubt it as his lack of impact in games is not due tj lack of effort, he always tries hard, but the current game tgat the NRL have created which is a basic boring power game, followed by high balls that are needed to be chased and contested, he really doesn’t have the physical attributes required tj be a better than average modern day NRL winger.
I agree with you on Luai, what an imposter, know one would know his name if he wasn’t lucky enough to play in a champion Panthers team. Thank god he’s gone and we will definitely be a better attacking team without him, we might miss his defence on occasions, but he’s far from perfect in that area either.
Will our old man recruits in the forwards help us?
I think Jayden Brailey has a bit of unfinished business as an NRL player and could be very good for us, providing Benji doesn’t again persist on playing Api fir big minutes every game and keep our back uk dummy half warming the bench.
Tyson Frizell has surprised me at the back end of the 2026 season and again more recently for Tonga.
At his age his form could dip dramatically at anytime, but he’s showing signs he still has some good standard NRL quality left in him.
Kurt Nann has much better attacking instant ball playing ability than anyone else we have to play minutes at 13, so we could hopefully get a good season out of him too.
