Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

a couple of things
murray / mason / sukkar all on absolute peanuts, you need these players to balance the cap

lots to shake out a few players still have the green light to talk to others, that could still free up roster spots for 2027

players i would consider available, douehi / hunt / seyfarth / herbert (yes i know, this deal was done when solo was told he was free to leave)

we have $ , im just hoping the wheels fall off at the dolphins and we offer izzy the bank
Hunt to Perth... Surplus to needs with Friz & Mann now.

Thanks champion @kade - your posts/info keep this forum sane amid all the turmoil. 😎

Is it just me, or is the fact the Cleary deal is being talked about in the past tense a sign that we’ve already been rejected?

“Wests Tigers made an offer”. As opposed to “Wests Tigers have made”.

One missing word makes a lot of difference.

Whilst the PNG Chiefs were this week told Cleary had no intention of taking up the deal to join them, the Tigers have yet to receive a similar phone call.

We have too many people in our top 30 that shouldn't be. Weve been like this for so many years. Herbert, Murray and Mason should not be near the top 30 and wouldn't be in any other system.

Probably the bottom 3 members of the squad… Assume all on close to minimum deals … no doubt all they can afford for next year …

Herbert the best out of the three… the other 2 … yikes if they are playing NRL

I thought Cleary already confirmed he’s staying at Penrith which is why they are talking like that

That was the assumption after he rejected PNG

He probably is but it’s odd that he hasn’t actually been confirmed yet . He’s not tied up with World Cup commitments like other players “on the market” are .

The players you mention as available will be in demand with new NRL teams entering the competition. Seyfarth is exactly the type of player the Warriors target as being highly competitive at reasonable cost.

He has acknowledged himself that it was a poor way of going about it.
But put yourself in his shoes and how much can be tolerated when someone is made out to be the clubs saviour, is clearly divisive and always gets his way no matter what he does or how mediocre he performs on the field.
By not sacking AD it’s acknowledging Benji made a mistake and it should have been Luai moved or benched for the Raiders game.
For all the faults of Luai, I don't think his dedication when it comes to training and preparing his body is one of them. Therefore I don't think he was talking about Luai at all.
I've said since the begginning that Mann is a terrible signing. It's well known he will be here for a year. and all this bs about teaching the younger players - he's not that smart in terms of footy IQ. Let Frizell do that.
I'm indifferent towards Mann as a player/signing. But he is a guy known for developing youth. Frizell is a guy known not too. Not that Frizell isnt a good bloke or anything he is just to quiet to actively mentor people. As someone that younger guys could look to imitate he is great but not someone who will actually actively develop them.
