I would argue the Roosters are not so attractive. Firstly it's doubtful they fit him in this year with their all star line-up.

Next year they lose Sualii and Manu, Teddy, Toupou and Keary near retirement, they are close to needing a total rebuild.

Then there's Parra who may be an attractive option, but o doubt they are paying $800k with guys like Moses, Brown, Paulo and Gutho all on big $.

The ONLY reason we have Luai is because we agreed to pay him 200k per season more than anyone else.
If other clubs matched our offer, he would not have signed with us.
This is the reality when you have been stuck on the bottom of the ladder and even if Wayne Bennett was signed to the club in some capacity, that would not change until our on field results change for the better.
It would be recruitment suicide to pay Lomax any more than his current 800k contract value, therefore he’s a million to one chance of signing with us anytime soon
I know some of us agree and some don’t, but IF Lomax happened to sign with Parramatta for 2025, it would mean they wouldn’t have much left to offer Bailey Simonsson and I would be signing him.

Both Luai and his Manager in his press conference said the offers on the table were comparable and the cash wasn’t a deciding factor.

Even a guy with an ego as big as Luai isn’t going to come out publicly and say money was a deciding factor. Let alone when you are making the announcement. But it’s naive to think money wasn’t the deciding factor when we paid him 1.3 million. No other club was offering that.

I think it's a combination of Attitude, Form - But it's the Price tag that has Flanno wanting to move him on.

He's better than what we've got, But not that much better - He could be, But he isn't at the moment

It was 1.2 mill & Bulldogs we're offering the same amount of money. Benji was the deciding factor & the challenge of taking a team from the bottom to the top.
