I agree it’s one game

But it’s those reasons the dragons let him go so it’s not like this was a one off

We bought him hoping he would change it we could get more out of him

Sometimes when you buy a lemon it stays like a lemon… actually more often than not

I agree.

BUT.

You need to set standards quickly. It's not a termination sentence. But he needs to earn that jumper. He was given first shot. I expect Sezar gets the next.

I think this is the best play.

Bud seems very arrogant, undeservedly.
Another lower grade legend who thinks he's something special.

Our future needs to be focused on the likes of Latu, Galvin and TDS (post Api)...
Sullivan doesn't make the cut.

I hope we can trade him on for a centre or something when a team gets desperate for a half (hopefully this day comes)
 
No half backs at 14-17. Unless you know the two on the park are shite. So that covers the first game. From here on I’d be sending him back to control reggies and when he can, and Sezer can’t, or is injured, then he gets another crack.

I agree 100% Bud is a 6 like Brooks was always a running 6, as much as it pains me to say Brooks is a better running 6. Bud himself declared he was a 7, wanted the 7 wanted the keys. We've been here before it doesnt end well for us or him.
In saying all that Bud would probably be best served for us as a bench option or a back up 6, 7 in a pinch but similar to Brooks his price tag means we will probably try and shoe horn him into something he's not.
Benji's selection of Bud at 7 with a guy on debut at 6 probably means we haven't learnt our lesson as a club in this regard. To me with the team selection as it was on the weekend we were always on the back foot before the game even began on the weekend, Sezer had to start at 7 and Benji had to choose between Bud and Galvin he couldn't.

I know he’s a good attacking player when he puts his mind to it, but I agree with you MT.
I really thought he’d be pumped up to make a good impression in his first official game for his new club, but he looked like a deer in headlights.

A chance to own the 7 at the new club, 1st game of the year, 1st game at a new club, 1st game under someone he looked up to in Benji.

He couldn’t have stuffed it more.

Let’s hope we see him fight back, be a shame for a kid with his talent if he doesn’t.

Not Buds best day on Saturday. It was concerning how quickly Galvin took the reins and Bud took a back seat. But I think if we move forward with Galvin at 7 and Bud at 6 there might be something there.
Bud was so concerned with moving the ball on that he couldn't affect the game. Needs to take the line on before he can distribute and he looks more comfortable doing that at 6.
I think Benji will go for Sezer 7 and Galvin 6, but I wouldn't hate it if he named Galvin 7 and Bud 6.
