Wests Tigers Home Ground Mega Thread

I asked are you being one ? I didn’t call you one . You need to go back and read it mate . I was confused by your tone
I know what you said, and the point remains. You go on a big rant, then accuse others of trying to pick an argument cos they had the nerve to disagree….Or misinterpret what you were trying to say.

If we are competing and beating the best there will be plenty of atmosphere at Homebush. Trouble is people are thinking of their visits to Homebush in the last decade!! Sure it would be great to have a state of the art ground at LO, but no government is going to commit to it when there is the SFS, Homebush and Bankwest nearby.

I always found Homebush good along the sideline when theres over 15k there. Except behind the posts, your miles away sitting there.

And who said you toffee nose north of the harbor mob won't cross the Harbour Bridge ;)
Good on Yuh ck 👏👏 (y).
Puhleeze..balmain and Drummoyne childhood is a life sentence when it comes to footy!

Been to Easter Monday clashes - 50k at one of them - and finals at Homebush great events which suited games that attract large crowds - it has its place. Unfortunately plenty of club games don't go close to that level of participation. It's a big game venue.

NRL360 narrative has moved from Tigers are a basket case to , Leichhardt is an icon that can’t be lost to the sport.

Amazing what strong management can achieve.

Haven’t seen the show… but all they care about on 360 is creating controversy and Leichhardt’s future is a well played tune for them …they want this controversy to always be around for them to complain about …

If the Govt announced an upgrade they would then say its a waste of money and shouldn’t be happening

And they score a try and in the background the crowd goes wild. Oh, no they don’t, there’s nobody there. It’s shit.

large crowds Accor is awesome
club rounds not so much

State government funding for upgrading CSS will be a no, just like our LO request. We got our COE, and I cant see us getting any more funding by either state government in the forceable future.

Richo sounds like he is pushing for a deal with Accor, and we'll split our games between both Homebush and Campbelltown. It makes business sense, and it's a conduit venue between the inner and south west.

I love Leichhardt but after that grandstand collapse in '22, I feel like the ground is a death trap waiting to happen.

If we come good in the next couple of years I see us attracting crowds of 22-25K+. Which neither of our current home home grounds can accomodate. Accor isn't ideal but it's fans that make a home ground, and we can make it ours.

The $30mill COE is coming for CSS, hopefully it's like the Brookvale one that includes seating and corporates.

Is TV still a thing anymore? If it is, you definitely wouldn't want to see my head on it!

I could be wrong, but it sounds like our current direction is based on politics, policy, and purse. I'll go as far as to say that Minns decision was the ideal outcome for the Tigers and Shane's future plans.

I hope so, but I can't see it happening for at least the next 4-6 years... unless we start winning premierships like Penrith did. Winners are always grinners.

Richo doesn’t pussy foot around, that’s for sure.

A move out to Campbelltown won’t happen in its current condition. And by the sounds of things it’ll be some time before any upgrades happen to the stadium if it does. We will be playing all 12 home games at Accor next year, unless we still continue to be the home team for Magic Round. Maybe if it’s deemed ok Campbelltown might get 1 game there.

If we do end up at Accor hopefully they do some kind of deal to play double headers with the homeless panthers. Get some people in there.

Penrith already confirmed they are playing their home games at Commbank next year.
