LIVE GAME Round 6 vs. Dragons

Live Game Discussion
Tigers have struggled against the Dragons since 2022. This will be a tough match. Hunt is a menace. The game will tell us where the team is up to. That situation is the same for the Dragons. Two incoming coaches, each with one top quality veteran, plenty of journeymen, and some upcoming talent.
That’s not a very big sample size.

It would be nice to see him have a decent game in NSW Cup to earn it.

Have you heard anything about his training & attitude?

Galvin didn’t earn it via NSW Cup, looks like Benji & coaching staff are using other metrics to identify the talent pool rather than NSW Cup. Makes sense given how bad Cup are going.

Galvin certainly gets involved, his position demands it, but he cut loose from day 1 and Bula has had 20 games now? I’m concerned that if he doesn’t get more committed like every other Fullback, then he may never? Maybe he needs more time?
He's looked much better this year with Galvin. I mean lets be honest, last year he had Wakeham who never ran which makes it very easy to cover anyone outside.

Bula He has played under 30 games and he is a SHY kid by nature he needs 50 games and another off season he is playing the hardest position in the team

And on top of that he stopped playing league for a few years before linking up with the Tigers I think 26 is the year that he will start to shine

26 is a random year to shine, no reason he can’t put the foot to the pedal this year

Keen to see him develop with Galvin

When Dillon Edwards was at the beginning of his career, he was hopeless. Penrith fans used to talk about him like we talked about Fitzy, Moltzen or Mbye. He was seen as a weak link. Even Billy Slater struggled at first…Teddy was used as a winger here etc, etc, etc.
Bula is our best player. Once his involvement increases, he will be considered elite. He is not a concern for us.

You are right, Bula is one of those players that waits for things to happen, not often you’ll see him go looking for the ball. I still think he gets bamboozled and doesn’t know what to do in the opposition red zone aswell

Seemed to be more involved when Galvin was playing so not sure if it’s just a combo thing
What a load of recency bias bullshit!!!

Forgot that Bula scooped all our player awards last year....

Watch the games back - he plays on the ball and sniffs for opportunities at every ruck!

glad you aren’t coach then … youd give everyone a slap on the back and reward them

Every player has deficiencies, what’s wrong with naming what you think they need to improve on?

If you think Bula is the complete package right now, I don’t know what to tell you friend

St George are not a top 8 team and like us, have only made up numbers in the last decade.
I didn’t rate them at all coming into this season, thought they would battle for the spoon.
There has been a great deal of improvement and cause for belief in WT the last few weeks. If we can replicate our form, I really think we should beat the Dragons.

I've still got tickets on moltzen, holding on to a Jennings style return 😏

Sorry guys. I got lazy cause I could not find the live thread for our game tomorrow. And out of respect for mods didn't want to post in wrong thread. Its not like they are getting paid (mods) for this wonderful platform where we can share our dreams and rituals.

Anyway I posted because I just wanted to say that tomorrow will reveal what we are made of. Im watching these other games - and most other teams apart from Titans, Souths ( currently) have some spine, character, the will to push themselves.

Even if we lose tomorrow I wouldn't mind losing like Canterbury last night. Just we are not playing Melbourne in Melbourne but St. George at home.

Mods if there is a thread - for this topic. - do what you got to do. My bad.
All good @AmericanHistoryX ..

Whose pumped???

I think today will be a great test of our character as a team.

Officially a sell out. Would be nice to see them hanging from the rafters like they did in 05 against the Cowboys. I think that’s one of the few games that a sellout at one of our suburban grounds didn‘t end in tears.
