LIVE GAME Round 11 vs. Dolphins

Live Game Discussion
There is a reason why Gus booted out Naden from the Dogs as soon as he got there....of course and us losers pick him up right away and then extend his contract...I've seen Naden lose many games for us, but never has he actually won one for us!...he must be shown the door at seasons end if this club is serious about being a contender for semi finals

Why wait ?
Tell him and about 9 others from within our top 30 that there is no future for them at the club and if they kick their heels in and stay they will be playing Ron Massey Cup.
Force them to find contracts in the UK Super League or other clubs and allow us tn replace them ASAP.

Other clubs also have to express interest in a player. We can tell them to look elsewhere, but if no one expresses interest legally we can’t do anything about it. Unless they pull a Nofa and don’t show up to training there’s nothing they can do unless another club is willing to take them on.

Yeah true, the reality is our 2024 campaign is over….so as a club, we should tell the Nadens in our club who are contracted beyond 2024, that their future is elsewhere and to find another club if they want to play in the NRL….

another week of poor discipline and pedestrian attack which has led to a seventh consecutive loss. forwards tried hard but the backs and spine just weren’t at the races.

Again we can tell them to look elsewhere, but if another club doesn’t show interest, we can’t do anything about it. Plus we may have to pay some of their contracts and if you really want a rebuild you can’t do that for all of them. You have to hope that some are willing to take them, or just accept they’re here until the contract is up. Or if the club gets lucky they pull a Nofa and don’t show up or get stood down by the NRL.

Seriously, the Fox commentators are not out to get us. Even if they were, they have no bearing on our poor performances.
They def do not have any bearing on results but it’s hard to hear things like..

Brooks “beautiful kick” which was “just a metre wide” out in the full. It was a terrible kick because it was a momentum killer.

They can spin things how they want…

Why do I waste my time and energy on this team, it’s not good
Certainly not good for mental health, that's for sure.

I stupidly let myself get excited about 10 weeks ago.
The old Board had been chucked out and Richo had signed on.
We're getting Luai next year.
Benji the Living Legend as coach with a directive for our team to play eyes up [exciting?] footy.
We WON 2 games, and I thought "how good is this" after so many years of turmoil.
I sent away my $$$ for membership.
And then..................................................................................................................................................................nothing but f'n :poop:.

I followed Wests Magpies for 40 years before the WT started up, now another 24 years....... with 1 f'n Premiership in 64 f'n years....... and I can't see anything positive on the horizon.

At 77 yoa, when everything that was once good and positive has vaporised, leaving nothing but the footy to get excited about, and even that is not there atm, I think sadly, this old dudes time on earth may well be close to an end.

Hey mate. Hang in there. There’s always next week or next season as a wests tigers supporter. 🐯

We lack firepower, but a bigger issue is our cohesion IMO. The limited game time between our halves in addition to Galvin's lack of experience (no disrespect), means our game plan lacks finesse and organisation. Considering Bula has only played 38 games as well and our spine hasn't had much time together on the field, it's clear why there's a lack of cohesion. Our outside backs are also problematic. They are inconsistent and occasionally lack urgency, which only adds to our challenges on the field.
We often look disjointed and are predictable in attack.

I'm not sure what type of game plan the coaching staff have devised or implemented, but the poor game management and execution makes it difficult to orchestrate effective plays when we don't seem composed enough or capable of capitalising on any openings created for them.
Regardless of all this we've still had ample opportunity to win games. We just keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

If we're discussing the team's progress this year, I believe the ongoing team reshuffles (due to injured and suspended players) needs to be taken into account, as their leadership and skill are crucial to this.

I think
So you think they are a well coached and professionally presented side who are well drilled in attack and defence?
The team is trying hard but that’s the minimum KPI for a professional sporting organisation.

I think they are supposed to be professional athletes who are employed to play Rugby League at NRL standard and that includes giving 100% each and every time they wear the Tigers jersey.
Unfortunately there are a few who are letting the rest down in areas of discipline, effort and natural ability. Because of our weak roster these particular players are included in our best 20 and we have no suitable or available replacements.
My view is that our predicament is currently more about the players than the coaching.
For example if we have Sezer, Paps and Bateman today and we somehow swapped out just Naden and Staines - I believe we win today’s game.

I reckon this side tries about as hard as any Wests Tigers side I've seen, but they are also arguably the dumbest WT side ever. So many dumb mistakes to undo the good.

Newsflash you are going to lose 95% of matches where you get binned down to 11 men. Doesnt matter what you do with the other 65 minutes if you spend 15 mins with 12 or less.

Galvin really clunky tonight. Tigers really bent their backs late in the game, hard and willful running, but the execution failed them as usual.

I also thought the rule was you could not bounce the ball into the opposition after a mistake, regardless of whether or not it touced your arm. But Api threw poor Bula an absolute osperdale pass

Naden lost me for ever with his stupidity today because it was just a blatant cheap shot that has always been a penalty since i was playing back in the 60's,however it was even worse than that because it was less than a minute to half time and we were getting the ball back.It was beyond dumb and he would/should have known that he would be binned for 10 minutes. We are not strong enough as a club to make terrible decisions like this.
I hope he plays reggies or below for the rest of the year and is gone at the end of the year.
