omg !!! How goodMakisini and Luke Laulilii both named in the NSW u19 squad
Why do we assume that Adam Reynolds has either the skills or desire to be a mentor to anyone ? ot the Latu wants to be mentored by Reynolds ?Think lukey is getting picked for the NSW u 19s so wont be getting a club game.
Also on the reynold thing I think its an amazing idea. You pull Latu aside and say, 'Mate, our future is in your hands. We are bringing you the best 7 mentors we can get our hands on.' You will play firsts and learn at the same time.
It always shocks me how bad we want our young guys to come in and be a superstar straight away. We need to stick and develop them and what a 3 to learn from in reynolds luai and benji. And if we are honest benji and luai arent teaching latu field position, kicking and game management IMO.
Remember Sheens bringing Galvin in with the long term plan of having him as our ball playing lock once he filled out. Saying that though there's a reason he was known as the Sheenius.Galvin was the preferred half, Latu started the year in cup. If Galvin stayed, it's a different story with Latu
Now that Galvins gone, Latu is the 6. The only reason he came off the bench last week is because he's coming back from injury.
The plan is hopefully to get more minutes into him so he can start back at 6 soon. I was hoping they'd pick him in NSW cup to be honest
Getting the one of the most talented junior halves around and converting him to a lock, when literally all his best attributes are as a half, is so dumb. To be fair, our club is know to be dumb.

That’s why it’s a bit stupid creating this culture. Suddenly you find yourself kowtowing to an entire family and supporters justify it. Didn’t we just let someone go for being a spoilt brat? Yet, we’re festering it by fearing we might get a family offside if something goes wrong with one of them.Totally agree, but it does need to be managed, cause like others have mentioned previously if something happens with one it could get the other brother(s) offside.

Wasn't he Dogging it in Ressies?Idk about that. Fifita’s attitude clearly sucks. If a bottom of the table club wants to get rid of him, that’s a huge red flag. We’ll be just fine with Sam and KPP.
I'm a big fan of the N.R.L buying the super league. Then tying each club up with a sister club in the U.K. Then using that club to put juniors through as a step between reserve grade and first grade, also with their Brittish players, also developing Brittish players who could make it in the N.R.L.That was almost 40 years ago bro . What may have been a gully all that time ago , is now the Grand Canyon.
If the nrl is serious about fixing the world game they need to look at a touring SG ball team with nrl level coaching , that competes in at least SG ball tournament , if not Flegg .
The issue with the poms is there don’t have the grounding that our kids do with touch and oz tag , as well as playing in conditions that allow you to chuck the ball around . They come over as adults and they’re at a Cup level , but because they have a name for themselves ,command a large sum of money .
No mate, I totally disagree, if managed properly it's the best way forward. Guys will get in the trenches at training and on game day and spill blood for their teammates. How much harder will they go for not only their teammates but their brothers. Iv got no doubt it'll work out fine. In terms of May he has a history so if it goes pear shape, no one can blame the club, his brother will know we gave him a go.That’s why it’s a bit stupid creating this culture. Thats not a hypothetical. I was responding to a hypotheticalway to talk in hypotheticals
The problem is living in fear that if one brother gets dropped, or gets in trouble, or whatever, that his brother or brothers will get their noses out of joint. That’s no way to run a team. It’s just another version of a boys club if you think that’s going to be an issue. It’s not healthy. No mate, I totally disagree, if managed properly it's the best way forward. It sounds like something he’d do. All the talent in the world, but not much heart.Wasn't he Dogging it in Ressies?

Played a full season of SG Ball (Feb-Apr) and has been training during the school holidays with the NRL squad.crazy makasini got picked for SOO when he hasn’t played league all year haha
ah my bad , I’ve only seen him playing rugbyPlayed a full season of SG Ball (Feb-Apr) and has been training during the school holidays with the NRL squad.
Great. But it shouldn’t be justified that the club should bend over backwards not to upset their delicate nature.latu literally got in trouble at the start of the year and had to face the board for returning to preseason unfit
I think Fifita has repeatedly proven he lacks the proper motivation. Lots of raw material but imo would take too much work to turn into a finished product .
Similar to Schuster and Benji wasn’t keen on him !
We need to go hunting for players from this team. Ricky Stuart picked up 3 players I believe from last years team.https://www.nswrl.com.au/news/2025/06/11/nsw-under-19s-mens-state-of-origin-squad-announced/
