Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Latu is only 19 and has his whole career ahead of him, Reynolds is an old fart who does a hammy at least every ten games. Reynolds is a Pascoe signing, I will be disgusted if he is signed.

Get ready for incoming …. If the story in the paper is true about them offering him 2 years ,… he is good as on his way …

Edit ..how are Latu’s hamstrings going? Every 3-4 games ?

if Fifita were to come here, and I think it's extremely unlikely, I'd be playing him in the middle. it's the only way to get his hands on the ball enough for him to have an influence on the scoreline.

he doesn't go looking for work on an edge.
A large part of me agrees.

But the thought of teams targeting him in behind the ruck would be terrifying...

Riccio maintains offer to Reynolds 2 years …although says 60/40 he stays at Broncos

Also said that Taylan May’s train and trial contract had to be approved by the WT board ..

Also mentions Benji v Richo debate re Api/TDS … says they are leaning towards re-signing Api and TDS will leave ( not sure how he is getting a running update of the internal discussions?)

Note … if you want to listen here …there is about 10 mins of other rubbish before they talk about the Tigers ..

Xerri had a full NRL preseason with Canterbury you dunce. His first game back was a trial in February 2024 after joining them in November 2023.

Taylan May's first training session with the squad is this week. And you're hoping he plays this Saturday? 🤪
To have had him named on the Reserves bench to receive a couple of mins in Cup this week is a completely outcome to think is possible.

I also don’t believe he would make that change for 1 year
If the contract is only a year, it doesn't mean the move has to be.

Positions post-football, either with us or elsewhere, if based in Sydney, may mean that the 1 or 2 years is not the sole deciding factor if they're looking for a permanent move back to Sydney anyway.

I'm not saying that is the case, just that there might be more weighing into the decision than just the thought of moving.

If it is only for football alone and if there's an intention to stay in Brisbane long term, then I agree, would be a big ask to shift his entire family for such a short contract.

We are all speculating here about tiny parts of the whole story that gets put in the media

I have heard he has 3 ( or maybe 4) school age kids and is very settled in Brisbane in the dream house … there is speculation of Brisbane offering him a coaching deal too but only 1 yr playing extension

Apparently the Tigers money is more and if it is two years that may sway him to move …

Time will tell…

It’s also disappointing we’d be signing him at 35 years of age. Thought we were done with signing players years past their prime.

They are happy to extend Api at 34 …for multiple years you would think ? Even at the cost of an up and coming junior …so it appears that age is just a number for them
