Apisai Koroisau #263

Liddle playing well in shorter stints at the Dragons but has a big pack behind him that runs hard and tackles hard. Also sharing a role with Cooke. Back here he might just look like the same Jacob Liddle we let go.

First thing he said when he got there was he couldn't believe how much fitter the Dragons were,
Might also have something to do with him going better?
Meanwhile, We're still falling asleep for 20 minutes in games.

I'm sure most people on here value their families but it has very little to do with our work. The same applies to football players. I want them to be good players busting a gut to win games for WT.
I think you couldnt be further from the truth...an employer that make an employees family feel welcome and valued is a wonderful thing...my old employer did this treating each employee as an individual and listening and going out of their way to help when ever they could.
theyd put on a family day once a year like barefoot bowls...jumping castles etc for the kids...some tried to take advantage but most appreciated it and respected it....made for a good positive culture in our workday which im sure is what we are pushing here too...dont see why some have an issue with it

This is great marketing for the Wests Tigers as a club and for Benji as coach.. Api is a highly regarded player in the NRL - there will be players who take note of what he has said when re-signed. Hopefully it leads to another signing for us post November 1.

Also respect to Api, he could have held out for the new franchises or poked around for deals at clubs who need a hooker, but he has decided to essentially retire as a Tigers player, which is not something you can commonly say about rep-level players.

Api is one of the few rep-level in-demand players to actively choose Tigers in the middle of our slump and accept the workload and stress that entails. This is his second extension, i.e. he's had the ability to move on twice now and chose instead to commit. His presence in the team is a magnet for other recruitment.

Tigers will be his longest-associated club at the end of this contract (6 years total, 4 years each at Manly and Penrith).

And our performance has improved incrementally since he arrived. If he is able to help get us back into the top eight he becomes one of the most important figures in the club’s history.

I work closely with OH&S and the employee wellbeing and this is where a lot of research is going towards.

Big inclusive teams where the values are similar is what keeps employees happy.

The days of keeping your personal and professional life completely separate are behind us. That's not to say you mix it fully but making it a workplace where employees feel their family is welcome is good.

Lots of clubs already do this.
