He’s not worth 200k as a 13, but he’s definitely worth 500k as a 7 or 6.he’s not getting a halves position here or at the dragons, they want him as a lock and utility - which at $500k - is a high price
just going off what benji said in the presser after the game latu is our long term 7, there’s just no rush & we needed more experience for that specific gameHe’s not worth 200k as a 13, but he’s definitely worth 500k as a 7 or 6.
You say he is not getting the 7 spot here, well why did he get it last weekend if Benji doesn’t see him as a 7 who can help win us games ?
Why did we chase Adam Reynolds if we are so confident Latu is ready to be our 7 to win us games right now ?
Who does our team look so much better when Doueihi is playing 7 ?
Why does Luai look so much more comfortable and more composed when Doueihi is playing 7 ?
If we are serious about trying to make the top 8 in 2936 we would be paying Doueihibthe 509k he is asking for and letting g both he and Latu battle it out for our starting 7 position with whoever loses out being our permanent number 14.
I think we all need to calm down.He’s not worth 200k as a 13, but he’s definitely worth 500k as a 7 or 6.

As good as he played on the weekend, we now have 1 performance at halfback that you would class as above average. When he played there earlier in the year, it was below average. Let’s just cool the jets a little. He’s not worth 200k as a 13, but he’s definitely worth 500k as a 7 or 6.

Calm down, we just finally found the blueprint on how to get our team balance right and be able to comfortably outplay a team who has been sitting at the top of the table all season long and now half our fan base along with Richo are happy to let the most important player on this blueprint walk due to the pittance of an offer we have made.I think we all need to calm down.
He had a great game.
He's had some bad ones in the halves too. This season being one.
It was wet weather footy. I'd like to see him dominate like that for a few more games before making any definitive statements.
I was at the Eels game and Douehi was playing well and our attacking was looking very sharp. As good as he played on the weekend, we now have 1 performance at halfback that you would class as above average. When he played there earlier in the year, it was below average. Let’s just cool the jets a little.
Latu is 20. He will continue to have ups and downs as he develops. That’s why we are looking at short term options, so that he isn’t under pressure to be the man every week while he develops.
Last week was the perfect game for AD to play half. Big body who can ran like an extra forward in the wet and kick long. If he was producing games like that consistently in all conditions he wouldn’t be choosing between 2 contracts with bottom dwellers. Maybe it’s in his best interest to take a 1 year deal and prove that he can.
Do you have any other info for us Kade?just an fyi, the dragons have not increased their offer to 500k, bullshit
the way you described him via dogs ,sounds he is better suited for rugby unionAs good as he played on the weekend, we now have 1 performance at halfback that you would class as above average. When he played there earlier in the year, it was below average. Let’s just cool the jets a little.

some what an enigma is our Dwah heCalm down, we just finally found the blueprint on how to get our team balance right and be able to comfortably outplay a team who has been sitting at the top of the table all season long and now half our fan base along with Richo are happy to let the most important player on this blueprint walk due to the pittance of an offer we have made.
Honestly we must enjoy finishing outside the 8 every year.
was that the game were he thru his mouth guard into the turf in disgust wondering why he wasn't understoodI was at the Eels game and Douehi was playing well and our attacking was looking very sharp.
All anyone wants to remember is his poor short kick late in the game.
As for a one year deal, I think it would be a good option for us and Doueihi to increase the monetary figure and keep him with us for 2026, then see if it is he or Latu who earns and deserves the number 7 jersey in 2026 before deciding if we will try and extend him further.
He wasn’t happy with his poor short kick that killed our momentum late in the game.was that the game were he thru his mouth guard into the turf in disgust wondering why he wasn't understood
A player who gets filthy on himself for doing something to hurt the team?was that the game were he thru his mouth guard into the turf in disgust wondering why he wasn't understood
if we get him at the price that is set and he keeps playing as well as he has ,id give him an unexpected good will top up , We dent owe him ,but , effort rewarded , He ain;t put in yet to be worried if he goesHe wasn’t happy with his poor short kick that killed our momentum late in the game.
Jerome has put in several poor kicks throughout the season, but he can seemingly do no wrong, gets a get out of jail free card every time.
Jerome looks much more at ease when Doueihi is partnering him in the halves.
Latu’s time will come whether we have Douehi still playing with us or not, but at this point of time we are a better team with Doueihi at 7 and Latu at 14 and I don’t think that will change in 2026 should we retain Doueihi.
If Latu is to become a top class halve, I think 2027 will be the year when he finds his voice and becomes the leader we need him to be on that position.
As I keep saying, there is no reason why he can’t be our regular number 14 with the occasional game in the halves between now and then to help get him better prepared.
Look I’ve been very vocal on this as I cannot believe the lack of common sense in Richo or any of our fans thinking it’s a good idea to make a lowball offeri to Doueihi and it will be ok if he goes because of it.if we get him at the price that is set and he keeps playing as well as he has ,id give him an unexpected good will top up , We dent owe him ,but , effort rewarded , He ain;t put in yet to be worried if he goes
We did not find any blue print.Calm down, we just finally found the blueprint on how to get our team balance right and be able to comfortably outplay a team who has been sitting at the top of the table all season long and now half our fan base along with Richo are happy to let the most important player on this blueprint walk due to the pittance of an offer we have made.

gregjm87 Have a listen to the recent comments from Cooper Cronk on Fox Sports. We did not find any blue print.
The rain played into our hands. Dogs out work teams with a smaller more mobile pack. They could not utilise that mobility in the wet. Our team was up for the fight whilst Dogs showed up expecting the win. Add in a couple moments of pure luck and it stacked up to a good victory. Not the blueprint for future success.
I'm all for keeping Doueihi but I think you are reading far to much into what is thus far a one off win.
Summed it up there. The Dogs 13 errors often at crucial times won’t be repeated again this year.We did not find any blue print.

You have been vocal , love your support for Pole' ,by the way .Common sense ,shame you can't bottle itLook I’ve been very vocal on this as I cannot believe the lack of common sense in Richo or any of our fans thinking it’s a good idea to make a lowball offeri to Doueihi and it will be ok if he goes because of it.
If anyone doesn’t believe me, have a listen to Cooper Cronk’s recent comments and he’s supposedly been working with us recently, so I’d say he would have a fair idea on what we need,
For those who cannot find it, he said Latu Fainu still has a lot of growing to do in regards to being a 7 and leading a team around the park and thinks he is a good 18 months away from being at that required level.
