Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

They do get him running onto any decent ball , Sam F get good ball and can make breaks , Sione was doing the same , KPP is a big guy , tall , strong and can break tackles , just needs good ball on the run , he also hits and stops them in defence , he will be good for us
Sam F , Sione , KPP. Back of scrum
Stat's aren't everything but KPP stats are very good. He will improve the team's defence and running metres. He doesn't give away many penalties compared to players like Viliame Kikau and Alex Seyfarth.

Kai P P has a 94% tackle efficiency rate . Averages 111 running metres
Angus Crichton has a 91% tackle efficiency rate . Averages 121 running metres
Viliame Kikau has a 89% tackle efficiency rate . Averages 102 running metres
Liam Martin has a 88% tackle efficiency rate . Averages 81 running metres
Samuela Fainu has a 89% tackle efficiency rate . Averages 77 running metres
Alex Seyfarth has a 93% tackle efficiency rate . Averages 66 running metres

I watched that game yesterday , taking particular notice of KPP,they still swing the ball almost exclusively left to #11, KPP is not being used much even on the right, maybe the players are off him

Same every time I’ve watched them they tend to shift to the opposite side I think he’s just horribly underused. Which is probably a reason he wanted out.

My mate who is a Knights member reckons that KPP would go ok with the right coach, he doesn't believe AOB is the right coach for KPP, so maybe Benji can get more out of him only time will tell.

Matty Johns is upset KPP is leaving

Taylan has really strengthened our backline.

With only just getting back into the game, he'll only improve. Plays with a lot of confidence.

2 year deal incoming 🔒
Just having him there Demps keeps his opposite at bay for an extra second or two because of the threat he poses, that benefits his inside and outside man with more time and a more lethal option, but I'm surprised how strong he is.

Couple of tid bits of info from a few WT fans with fingers on the pulse ...

- Taylan May signing locked in (Rob Bechara on last night's Claws Out podcast)
- Tino Tavana on a pre-season T&T (@poopy_diaper on the WT Faithful X account)

Happy Monday!
For those who care Cameron Kanaan did a pec earlier in the year and is off contract with a few offers including one from us. Loves the club and wants to stay though.

We've lacked a player like him in our backline for too long.

Hes a very much needed addition to our team.

That 1 to 5 has shaped up quite nicely and if Makasini is as good as we all think, things are looking great.

Hope he stays. Could be a very good depth outside back in a couple of years.

Look forward to your collab pod with @Joel Helmes & crew if it happens this week.

Big love between all the WT pods!

Interesting that To'a has extended with us and when given the chance to play Naden or To'a when he is not 100%, Benji chose To'a...says to me To'a is first choice centre or else you might have kept Naden for depth, let To'a walk and promoted Makasini. To'a isn't on big money (350k?), but not on depth money either.

On the surface it looks like they won't rush Makasini into full-time first grade unless necessary and introduce him slowly. Benjis comments were interesting in the presser about bringing him in for To'a.
