Mate of mine worked on highways for years on mid-north-coast. He met a lot of guys on very good money with absolutely nothing to show for it n others that had paid several houses off.
The money some guys are in sport and how they end up with little to show for it you wonder who is advising them.

Signing bonus to be one of the first players to sign on to this bogus shit would be astronomical!

It wasn't the inflation in Superleague or ARL annual contracts that made Ian Roberts - Jarrod McCracken etc set for life during the SL-ARL war...

It was the massive signing bonuses to those who played their cards well!

So was Daine Laurie at one stage...

But none of these blokes have managed to supplant him or stand out at rival clubs - even when he goes in to Edwards Scissorhands mode.

Iongi has been the lone exception.

I don't think Penrith's fullback production line is fully functioning - despite their coach being a former (pedestrian journeyman) fullback/centre...

Ivan played his best footy as a defensively reliable but unspectacular centre.

You say that, but rarely do they make marquee signings. They aren’t the Roosters.

Of course I don't and neither does anyone. Let's look at it logically.

We have not already recruited an experienced 13.

If we take Richo at his word, and the way he approached recruiting last off season, we will be waiting to see what drops from the tree.

It is possible that an experienced FG 13 drops from the tree; but if an experienced 13 was seen as a high priority it would not be left to chance.

So I think you can say, with a fair bit of certainty, that Benji and Richo have an in house plan for that position - that may be trumped by an opportunity recruitment.
 
Papi taking a “career break” checkmates PVL and his tough guy talk about giving out 10 year bans. He’s now a free man. Didn’t break any contract, and if he by some chance gets an offer from 360? Why the hell not? He might not be the last player we hear stating they need a “break”.

He looks to have manoeuvred that well, better than a Benji sidestep.

Sheez if thats the case well thats on Richo and Benji.....unfortunet given Richo was critcial of the past administration for handing out top 30 spots to players who didnt have it...his payout wouldn't be much.....
