The point you are making is true, we quite often look like we are getting physically dominated.IMHO, because the WT continues to select paper-weight category props, they look like under-16s compared to nearly all NRL teams. The consequence is that we are, season after season, outmuscled and dominated, our meters run are at least 10m behind the opposition at the 5th tackle, set after set, game after game.
Our props look like they are tranquilised; their level of intimidation can be at the best compared to a panda!
The same is true for our 2nd rowers; even when we manage to produce an aggressive player, e.g. Nathan Brown, he is quickly eliminated. 😡
Is it due to lack of size or lack of aggression??
In my opinion it is mainly to do with lack of aggression which leads to lack of physicality and quite often it’s smaller forwards who are more aggressive and back that up with their high speed ball carries and willingness to get off their line fast and whack the opposition forwards when defending.
