HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

It looks like it is boiling down to a battle between Burgess & perhaps Leo Epifania as the WM rep (and HBG debenture holder) against the 4 independent directors on who has failed to properly communicate key WT information to the right people as per their duty.

If you don’t believe somebody’s statement such as Paton, that does not give you the right to criticise anyone who states they are not prepared to dismiss what he stated unless it is proven be untrue.
As I previously stated, BWG, Mighty Tiger, BAGNF05 and a few others have all provided good evidence and arguments as to why they believe HBG are in the wrong.
You are not one of them as you just like to be a nark and criticise without any evidence to back up your argument.

They’ve both saved all their texts communicating the jersey colours back to HQ.

The same evidence as the members you mentioned quoted...you know, the facts

Why dont you go start another rumour....then claim theres two sides to every story, then cover your arse with an each way bet...troll.

Yeah it was an attempt at humor, probably a poor one.

HBG leave themselves open to media pile ons constantly, it’s one of the reasons I don’t think they’re fit owners. The strongest clubs are closed shops and understand the value of stability.

If that occurred the issue gets compounded as just taking someones word over a review of governance protocols before enacting indicates a bigger issue for HBG on multiple fronts.

We need to be mindful they have 2 reps and if both mislead HBG that’s a bigger issue altogether and may lead to full independent board as a condition.

If they were reinstated I suspect that there would also need to be steps added re HBG side of things and the direct action ability to prevent this from occurring in future whilst enabling Richo and independents to resume.

No idea where you got the idea I was part of the Wests Diehards, you are way off the mark yet again.

This would be a most pleasing outcome for many.

No protracted saga for the NRL, Burgess out pleasing the masses, HBG saves some face with blame falling on its representative & business returns to normal for WT & its board.

We know that HBG have a history of knifing their own! Maybe it will be Burgess.
 
Joel Caine made some brilliant points today. Can’t post for some reason but worth the search. He gets it. Line in the sand - WT only, no Balmain, no Wests. Time to move on.

I met Dennis Burgess at a personal level nearly 20 years ago. We were quite active in his local band comps and were frequently hired for private gigs through his company at a pretty young age. I can assure you all he couldn’t organise a microphone and it was like dealing with peak Ozzy Osbourne. His intermission speeches and his stupid hair were a laughing point in between every set.

The level of amazement that I have that this fella has any sort of representation with WT has concerned me for years.

Fans need to act on this and fast. Every old dinosaur needs to go once and for all.

The challenge with this is both would’ve been asked and if both lied that’s now put HBG in a very awkward situation that leaves them little choice re power within the wests tigers board.

If it was something along those lines then unfortunately HBG get dragged through it by 2 cowards who couldn’t be honest. But the Wests Tigers longer term probably end up in a better position.

Bigger issue would be if they’re right & HBG rightfully so punted the board members not including - that has bigger ramifications for the club IMO

Agree and would move more towards a more Wests Tigers independent board as well.

The governance controls from HBG being adjusted for applying critical decisions like this would also be a positive

It also could be resolved within a week rather than months.

Interesting as I also got the impression he is not capable of driving agendas on a board.
Maybe he is a lot smarter and much more manipulative than he comes across ?
I suspect he might be a puppet for someone else driving agendas ?
 
Someone made a great suggestion when the WT board was being installed, the members and chair, must swear / affirm whatever is a correct word, total loyalty to WT, and decisions made from that viewpoint, not Balmian Tigers or Wests Magpies. Balmain Tigers and Wests Magpies sh#t must be kept at the lower level club administration not the WT. Bringing that into the WT considerations should be grounds for suspension from WT board.

I don’t know, that’s the million dollar question at the moment.
I know many Wests Tigers supporters believe it’s just an opportunistic way to assert their dominance in the power struggle.
It just sounds too unbelievable to be true unless there is some substance behind their reason to dismiss the 4 independent board members.
As BWG and Mighty Tiger have been alluding to, it might be the fallout of an internal HBG / Wests Magpies internal rift / power struggle.
I’m finding it very hard to believe that DB is the brains behind any calculated take over, maybe he’s the puppet and someone behind the scenes is pulling the strings ?
