Are you not familiar with the old “full support of the board”? The kiss of death. The thing chammas didnt say though was, if all this is true, why did they announce support for richo. The math aint mathing
Tony Mestrov was CEO of Manly. But before that, CEO of NSW Greyhounds. Could he hold a board position instead of CEO?Look no disrespect to the people you are mentioning, replacing Richo with Meilekamp is a huge step backwards and are you seriously suggesting replacing a premier and a person with experience on the boards of the Australian Paralympics and Swimming Australia who is also a prominent young lawyer with 2 footballers?
I think Skando and Galea have a lot to offer but are a step backwards.
Supposition, Richo openly said when he was sitting next to Julie Romero he had the full confidence that the Barnier review findings would be fully implemented and he wouldn't have come on board if there wasn't an independant board at Wests Tigers. Short of the N.R.L placing us into administration while he was here, HBG knew full well once they booted the independant directors Richo was going aswell. They just didn't care.I don't know what you want here. I said he is a good CEO. Very good, if you want to hear it.
I also hope the next CEO is a good one.
But laugh all you want- right now, he resigned. Not sacked. The board did not sack him. Did they want him out? Probably. Did it have to play out this way? Probably not. They DID sack the board members. But not Richo. If they were in a sacking mood- couldn't they have booted him along with O'Farrell etc? They didn't. Why?
People are whipping themselves into a frenzy off the back of supposition.
Yes his results are very good, in a lower tier sport. You also can't compare his cv to richo's, they aren't in the same universe.Mielekamp is only a step backwards in that his history is in a different sport. His results as CEO are very respectable.
I'm suggesting a board of Wests Tigers people will keep the majority shareholders feeling a little less 'disrespected' than absolute impartials with no link to the club. They are just names. There are probably better options. But they don't have to be from outside the club to do the job well & still be 'independent' of HBG.
From all reports the conditions of the clauses in richos contract were all tied to retention of BOF and the independent WT Board ongoing. Obviously Richo had seen previous HBG management ‘activities/honesty’I don't know what you want here. I said he is a good CEO. Very good, if you want to hear it.

How many clubs in the gutter has he raised to win comps. Richo had 2 here, 1 in England. They're not even in the same solar system.Mielekamp is only a step backwards in that his history is in a different sport. His results as CEO are very respectable.

But what does he know about league , he would have no or very little contacts in league , not saying he is a bad choice but u need to be in the grove in this sportMielekamp is only a step backwards in that his history is in a different sport. His results as CEO are very respectable.

I really do admire the lack of rage and optimism The Chad. I would love a dose of thatMielekamp is only a step backwards in that his history is in a different sport. His results as CEO are very respectable.

To be fair, Mielekamp did it with the Central Coast Mariners, and is adored by their fanbase. This is a much tougher job though with a much higher level of media scrutiny. How many clubs in the gutter has he raised to win comps. Richo had 2 here, 1 in England. At some point Richardson would retire & Meilekamp was brought into the building as a likely successor. Of the options available- I think he's the best one.Yes his results are very good, in a lower tier sport. You also can't compare his cv to richo's, they aren't in the same universe.
Im not saying skando and galea don't have anything to offer, but look what you are losing. Do you think they have the government and political connections that a former premier has, or the corporate governance experience of someone that has sat on the boards of swimming Australia?
How are you replacing those skills? Also don't forget the dismissed directors were appointed against a skills matrix, why aren't we looking for people that meet the highest possible standards?
He has worked at Souths and Penrith before moving to soccer. But what does he know about league , he would have no or very little contacts in league , not saying he is a bad choice but u need to be in the grove in this sport
Every public appearance he made, he went to great lengths to assert that he was making the decisions along with his board and he didn’t expect interference from the shareholders. For them to use poor communication against him (well against half his board actually) is in my opinion, a weak gutted cop out. From all reports the conditions of the clauses in richos contract were all tied to retention of BOF and the independent WT Board ongoing. Obviously Richo had seen previous HBG management ‘activities/honesty’
There is a significant age difference to account for too. If we are only looking for like-for-like appointments, the selection process is going to offer slim pickings. How many clubs in the gutter has he raised to win comps. Richo had 2 here, 1 in England. They're not even in the same solar system.
No point getting angry about it. If some people feel better popping off on me about stuff, go to town. Pretty sure I've not reacted to any of it.I really do admire the lack of rage and optimism The Chad. I would love a dose of that
Yep, he did a teriffic job ensuring the future of Wentworth Park !! 😃😅😂Tony Mestrov was CEO of Manly. But before that, CEO of NSW Greyhounds. Could he hold a board position instead of CEO?
Yes, every criticism Chammas has over Richo, such as mistreatment of Klemmer/Bateman as well as dropping 2nd rate top 30 players to syd cup and shopping players to English clubs, were things he should be praised for and which contributed to the improvement of the club.Chammas obviously on the Isaac Moses and Pascoe side of things.
Richardson may have not been perfect but he was getting results and the club was finally moving forward after years of mistakes
I'll take Richardsons mistakes given the upside he was bringing over other and future guys who have and will be more your Luke Brooks type with mistakes with an average ceiling.
So you mean Leo Epifania played 23 games for Wests, HBG debenture holder, one time assistant coach of Italy and was GM of Wests Cup side from 2015 according to Wiki but,.... not a HBG board member according to their website?Montgomery was the rep, but then replaced leo <insert last name here>. Again, showing their instability.
Leo was inducted as a new debenture holder recently.
To be fair, he was busy making the Sea Eagles "Message Friendly" by the time that decision was madeYep, he did a teriffic job ensuring the future of Wentworth Park !! 😃😅😂
