HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

Chammas obviously on the Isaac Moses and Pascoe side of things.

Richardson may have not been perfect but he was getting results and the club was finally moving forward after years of mistakes

I'll take Richardsons mistakes given the upside he was bringing over other and future guys who have and will be more your Luke Brooks type with mistakes with an average ceiling.
Yes, every criticism Chammas has over Richo, such as mistreatment of Klemmer/Bateman as well as dropping 2nd rate top 30 players to syd cup and shopping players to English clubs, were things he should be praised for and which contributed to the improvement of the club.

He wasn't perfect on everything, but there was a lot of agenda driven perspective from Chammas that was surprisingly one sided. Chammas seemed more aligned to Pascoe and Lee than Moses in the way he complained about the way Richo criticised them and the club.

Chammas also said that Benji is not talking to him which suggests another grievance Chammas probably holds against the club. You can understand that Chammas, as a journalist, is trying to get his own back a bit after getting everything leaked to him in previous regime while getting the cold shoulder from the current crew. Obviously then uses his media role to criticise those who aren't giving him scoops and playing the media game.

Montgomery was the rep, but then replaced leo <insert last name here>. Again, showing their instability.

Leo was inducted as a new debenture holder recently.
So you mean Leo Epifania played 23 games for Wests, HBG debenture holder, one time assistant coach of Italy and was GM of Wests Cup side from 2015 according to Wiki but,.... not a HBG board member according to their website?

Sure. Why not?

Wayne Pearce, one of my favourite players of all time, got a job as a coach. Then he got appointed to various boards over time. He's something to do with the ARL now isn't he? Commission Chair or something?

Why can't well spoken football guys, like Skandalis & Ben Galea offer something at Board level for the Tigers? Skando has worked for the club since retiring. Galea works as a video referee, so has links with the NRL now.

Why not guys like that? I don't imagine HBG are offering better options.

I'd rather a board that has their heart in the club.
No disrespect Chad, but these are the ramblings of someone whet behind the ears and like I said yesterday, has a hint of naivety to it.

I'm afraid you live in a Utopia where love conquers all, but I'm here to tell you, this isn't Silicon Valley where a 21 year old is the brains behind a mega company and it's not Doogie Howser where a 13 year old becomes a doctor and saves lives.

We need a battle hardened CEO that's had success repeatedly against all odds and lived to tell the tale...that was Richo.

So only Richo can save the Tigers?

He just resigned.

No need for a rally on Saturday then?

I don't want to be "that guy", but your post would have more impact with some paragraphs. Please don't take this the wrong way. My apologies in advance.

There is a significant age difference to account for too. If we are only looking for like-for-like appointments, the selection process is going to offer slim pickings.

At some point, younger blood steps in.
That's the point, shouldn't need like for like as we had the first part of the comparison.

. @BZN @Bus 2 Terrigal You both are a disgrace to Magpie legends like Tommy who were behind the joint venture from day 1 and celebrated this club openly & proudly. Do you guys agree with the actions of Wests Ashfield that are driving away young fans in droves including @tigahhh @WesternSuburbsBoy on here?
Why exactly do you feel I am a disgrace?

What have I said that has you forming this rather vitriolic assessment ?

Please supply quotes 👍

Yes- but he resigned.

And there's some chance the NRL might have something to say about what he was doing.

Now- it's a viable option for everyone to look back at their calendar to last week & think nice thoughts. Or...shrug your shoulders & move on.

The club has to find someone new.

I think Mielekamp is the best option at this time.

Look no disrespect to the people you are mentioning, replacing Richo with Meilekamp is a huge step backwards and are you seriously suggesting replacing a premier and a person with experience on the boards of the Australian Paralympics and Swimming Australia who is also a prominent young lawyer with 2 footballers?

I think Skando and Galea have a lot to offer but are a step backwards.

I note Chammas was skeptical of the rally achieving anything … also said that the NRL can’t do anything about the HBG ownership .. Assune you don’t agree ?….

In all seriousness - the shoulder shrugging is a good strategy when management has done a good job over a long period...I think we've all done that in the past and our shoulders are a bit sore on this one.

No now is the time to rip in finally get the club we deserve.

That's the one. I think the reps are actually technically split between 1 HGB and 1 Wests Magpies (Leo), but I did see a prior poster mention that he had joined the debenture holders too.
