2. Richo announces he will hold off making a decision on whether or not he remains as Wests Tigers CEO and gives a deadline of Monday 8th December unless PVL and the NRL intervene and ensure an independed administration is put in place.
- Very few if any people are happy with the current HBG governance, I’m near certain most were satisfied and content with the previous board members who were thrown out such as Rick Wayde, Dave Gilbert, Julie Romero and I’m not sure what happened to John Dorahy along this journey ?
The point is there is very few if any who wanted these good people to be removed, they are the ones who agreed with and made the decision for the Independent review to go ahead.
So is the major problem the HBG, or is it those who are currently involved and making all the decisions on behalf of the HBG that are the problem ?
Yes there is now a long history of issues and problems arising from HBG decision making, but as I’ve just alluded to, that was being rectified by the previous good people involved before they were booted out.
Say those people were reinstated next week and were on board with the largely independent Wests Tigers board as they were in the first place.
It’s not beyond reality to believe the current trouble makers or dreamers within the HNG will not be booted on themselves, replaced with good decent people who will get it heading in the right direction like it was when the likes of Wayde, Gilbert, Romero etc were leading the charge.
- PVL is not the type of person who bows down to anyone’s timelines or demands, very unrealistic to place them on him.
I have no doubt whatsoever PVL will get involved and enforces sone changes once he is satisfied he has all the correct information.
- As I previously stated the timing of Richo departing is not good at all, but I’m convinced he’s not the saint that he has many believing he is and I’m glad Chammas pointed out a few home truths about him.
3. Moving forwarded we need 4 independents back on the Wests Tigers board ASAP whether that is the recently dismissed ones reinstated or others to come in. We need re-assurances that HBG do not go against decisions they make, however hugely important decisions such as changing the team name and colours of our feeder team is surely something that would need to be discussed at a higher level before any decision is agreed on or made. After all does this decision really effect many Wests Tigers supporters? I would estimate there would only be 10-15% of supporters who even care about our NSW Cup team let alone watch their games or know who plays in the team.
- Richo himself has given a glowing endorsement of Shaun Mielecamp so hopefully he can be the man to take us forward without too many disruptions. Would he have stayed himself if he thought the club was a lost cause ?
- The upcoming rally is a good thing as it will hopefully achieve major change within HBG and help bring all the independent board members back on the Wests Tigers board at the very least. I understand many want much more than that, but you would hold the majority would at least accept that as a win for the cause and a step back in the right direction.

Every single board member HBG have ever had had been absolutely rubbish. They're all terrible. None of them have the necessary skills or experience, none have been able to provide any positive impact on Wests Tigers.

The fact is they are not fit to run a professional club. They make decisions to deliberately damage their club rather than even try and compromise.

So long as HBG is involved the whole Balmain v Wests thing will continue. Newsflash. Nearly all WT fans don't give a stuff about either of those clubs anymore. So yes we should unequivocally be called Wests Tigers in all senior grades. It's called unity, one club etc. Any mentions of Balmain or the magpies destabilizes the entire club, Richo was 1000% right. A unified club is the one way forward. Dennis has no desire for a unified club. He laid his $250 in the 90s and he's determined to reign his tyranny down in the Wests Tigers until the day he dies. That's just who he is. Everyone at HBG is incompetent, he's the worst of the worst though.

They are incapable of leading us anywhere except dead last and that's why we have to insist the NRL intervenes and removes them.

Wests Ashfield didn't pay for the licence, haven't invested in the club whatsoever, they've just chipped in the bare minimum to keep the lights on. We need invested owners who want us to be the best, not just make up the numbers

Making it a major issue or fighting over whether our NSW Cup team is called Wests Magpies or must be changed to Wests Tigers is very petty in my opinion.
Hardly any of our supporter base care about or watch our NSW Cup team play anyway.
Rick Wayde, Dave Gilbert, Julie Romero and Tony Andeacchio all agreed wholeheartedly and endorsed the indecent board, so how were they hopeless ?

No no no no no... y'all just don't get it.

We start with a dozen top grade eggs, ok!

Prior to the JV both sets of fans had their own team to cheer for.
After the merger Wests still have the Magpies in NSW Cup, but Balmain don't have the Tigers anymore, so all you can do is throw all your eggs into the WT's bucket.

Magpies on the other hand are lucky enough to be able to share their eggs into 2 buckets if they choose, and any way they choose.
Some Magpie fans choose to put all their eggs into the WT's bucket while some put all their eggs into the Magpies bucket only.

The third alternative is to put some into both buckets, and why not for Magpie fans.
Why reject the team you have followed for many years as they are still alive and kicking.

But the WT's play in the NRL while the Magpies don't, so if you want to watch NRL on TV and on the radio [maybe you live in a regional area as I do] you have to follow WTs.

Now it's time to split the eggs up.
Some will put 8 into the WT's bucket but choose to still remain loyal to the Magpies by putting the remaining 4 into their bucket.
We are loyal Wests Tigers fans with the added advantage of still having the Magpies to follow, but in most cases not with the same intensity as when following the Magpies only, as an 8 egg intensity has gone to WTs.

I hope this is all as clear as mud 😉 so there will be no need to argue anymore, ok?

Just to actually talk about some rugby league for a post or two, I was quite happy when at one point the NRL decided to give the NSW Cup more airtime on fox because I thought over time it could become a true second tier comp with proper crowds and proper salaries for the players.

The u20s kind of became that comp because each team aligned with an NRL team so by nature you had rusted on supporters...I'd really like to see a proper reserve grade considered again and some thought go into how to monetise it and make it self sufficient.

💯 it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.
If it was much more televised and publicised, maybe then it would be a case where it needs to be called Wests Tigers not to confuse the general public, but we are not at that stage right now, so there is no valid reason why it needs to be changed other than to want to cause conflict.
 
I sent an email to the membership team a few days ago asking to NOT auto renew next year.

This is the response I got:

The Club has been advised of a change in our Board structure by the Holman Barnes Group. As you can appreciate, the details of this change are still being worked through and will be finalised following the Club’s scheduled Board Meeting in December.
We completely understand your concerns and respect the position you’ve taken. In good faith - we will opt you out of next seasons renewal to ensure no further renewals take place without you actioning this. Your feedback has also been collated and reported up to management as part of a wider review.
Thank you again for your support and for taking the time to share your feedback.

I didn’t ask for a refund as I had already received my package.

But please don't let yourself get covered in any more crappy arguements on my behalf, it's just not worth it.

Since the time I got massacred a few months back, I've learned to only read the posts I choose to read and ignore the rest.
So, there's a lot of posters on here simply wasting their time.

Can you give a tecent example of a CEO that was free to do his job or an example of what he did without HBG getting involved? Would genuinely like to know
