HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

But what you don't want to admit by saying "we don't want Balmain back either" is the FACT that the names Tigers and Balmain can't be separated, they're the same entity.
What you should be saying is 'we don't need Balmain back... as we still have the [
Balmain] Tigers name.
You have lost absolutely nothing.

We’ve lost heaps. Most weeks actually.
#WESTS TIGERS

I’m proud of our history on both sides. But it’s just that.

I hate to go back to the past …but you blokes just keep talking about it …

The Wests Tigers was the name put to the members of BOTH clubs when they voted to accept the JV in 1999

Couldn't the same argument be used in reverse? (Outside of the lauding bit). I mean, it's not as if Balmain is offering anything to the joint venture.

Lets do some revision here Balmain were granted or set to be granted the 14th license at the time. The magpies were out, Balmain realized unless they merged it was only a matter of time for them also before they got the punt forever. They were more financial than Wests at the time iirc, It was a marriage that served both parties at the time.
Fast forward and Balmain shot themselves in the foot with the leagues club debacle which gave Wests Ashfield the chance to step up which at the time they did.
As i stated above Wests nor Balmain would be here without the other, so the in fighting from the old dinosaurs from both sides tbf need to wake up to themselves and stop a very long time ago. You would have thought 2005 would have been enough to galvanize and stick solid but not us can't have that squabbling at board level is the name of the game.
If we aren't careful We might get what was coming to us both 25 years ago extinction, I dont want that i moved on 25 yrs ago along with the majority on here and realized that we needed to co exist.
Its the Wests Tigers thats the only license that will surivive and so it should be, if your under the age of 30-35 you likely wouldn't have a scooby doo about the history of Wests and Balmain. I really don't understand why its so har4d for some to fathom.
BTW not having a crack at your post whatsoever just led into my points.

Its not that simplistic
We could have a shocking injury run, we could lose seven games by between 2-4 points...all sorts of unforeseen scenarios could occur
Maybe justification to HBG whose kneejerk reactions are their forte ...but this is just all guesswork atm
I don't think the club can be accused of being trigger happy in relation to sacking coaches.
Not since Mick Potter, a decade ago
I don't think that qualification is correct either. This is completely demotivating. People who are supposed to direct the organisation you've bought into are making dumb decisions, yet expect excellence from you? Players read the media and some are WT fans since birth, hurting just like us.

We can't expect the players to be the better people here.
Footy players play footy.
Their only concern is if the coach remains the coach.
If Benji decides to go, then all bets are off

None of the Boardroom stuff should impact the teams on field results in 26.
Although you watch it being trotted out as an excuse if they lose first up to the Bye

PVL would need to “convince them “ somehow …I don’t see how it happens otherwise , and he might not be able to..
Yeh, probably wouldn’t matter how big a stick and carrot he carries, the usurpers are very comfortable in the knowledge that it’s easy to sack people and wind back their work.
I don’t understand why so many on here criticised the performances of Pascoe and Hagipantelis. The very reason they had to go, following the Crawford Barnier review was because they were being overmanaged as Hagipantelis eluded to on numerous occasions. “We are here at the behest of the owners.”

That doesn't seem to be the case in the modern game, with players thinking about how their careers play out and develop. If they are at a club which seems to be going nowhere, many players (no doubt inspired by social media, media and their managers) start looking for their longer-term future and whether other players in the team, the coach, will still be around next season. And so it becomes self-fulfilling.

Look at the teams which have histories of solid performances on field, over a period of years. They tend to be very well-run off field.

Very strange that you didn't come clean with this at the time.
But then he was from the Balmain side of the JV, so it just conveniently slipped your mind.
Shut up, you fool.
Everything has been explained to you so many times, but you just ignore i,t then play the victim when someone calls out your BS.
The vast majority of Wests Tigers fans want change, but it is due to selfish individuals like yourself and the clowns at HBG that we can't move forward as a club.
Stop living in the past and move with the times!

If you don’t like it you have some respect for yourself and leave. Pascoe did 9 years!

I believe Cook was on extended stress leave before his departure. You might be able to draw a conclusion as to what the source of that stress was.
BAGNF05 may well "be able to draw a conclusion ".
But his conclusion may be different to yours.
So, how about you tell us yours?

Lee H said a long time before the review something along the lines of “he serves at the pleasure of the owners “…. Then when they tried to get rid of him he fought them tooth and nail …

He had to go for continued incompetence… he is a lawyer not a football club administrator..

Wests Magpies and Holman Barnes Group chairman Dennis Burgess could be fighting to remain a Wests Tigers powerbroker following revelations his Instagram account follows hundreds of sexually explicit pages.
Well-placed sources at the embattled club have revealed there have been talks between senior figures, who are pushing for Burgess to either stand down or be removed from his position.

It comes after this masthead revealed fans’ concerns over his alleged Instagram activity, specifically that his handle — wildmandenny — follows more than 200 accounts belonging to adult content creators featuring risqué photos and links to more explicit content.

Burgess did not respond when this masthead reached out for comment to see whether his account had been hacked. This masthead also contacted him for comment.
