I admire your optimism, but given the events of the past fortnight and rumours suggesting this was one of the reasons HBG shafted the independent directors, I highly doubt the magpies loyalists accept any reasoning.

I was speaking to Tony Andreacchio yesterday and he confirmed that is what's happening. While no longer in the inner sanctum he'd have sources.
He also doubted WT could have any success whilst the incredibly outdated debenture system is still in place.

Trying to please the fans? I don't see that based on their performance during the last decade. They simply panicked with Richo leaving and 7 players threatened to leave.
These are not the people you want in those positions. Their main motivational tool is threat, as we saw from Fallah, when he threatened to withdraw or decrease funding Balmain juniors.

Many decisions such as signing Ivan Cleary to coach and signing Michael Maguire to coach were 💯 the correct decisions at the time.

Under Cleary, we played excellent defence and often beat benchmark teams. Maguire took us from that to several spoons, the worst defence (ever?), signed has-beens, and left us with no future!

Yet now they've been reinstated...
