His previous role wasn’t impacted.
He was the obvious choice as interim given what he has been involved with over the last 12mths.

A lot of good people have been chewed up and spat out by this club. It's not about Shaun as you say, it's about whether HBG let him do his job.

It’s a bit of a cycle as a tigers supporter :
February march full of hope
March april may early wins give promise and I start factoring in semis
May June and I start to get worried
Just august NRL is dead to me
Sept I choose another team to follow semis
Oct I ignore footy
November start reading forum hoping for signings
December get frustrated with no signings and complain about the signings thread being filled with other stuff
January start counting down days until trial games
February . Convince myself tigers will play semis this season
And so it goes on each and every season. So please indulge me. It’s part of my cycle as being a wests tiger for life

Oh and did I add in that about July each season I start to dislike the roosters again and also the cycle broke last season when bulldogs also became an added team to dislike

And that's what makes it so much fun to support this club.
Imagine the boredom of being a Melbourne supporter with all that monotonous winning.
 
If I was a player of calibre thinking of signing with the WTs, I'd have a get out clause regarding boardroom disruptions/dramas etc which includes significant penalty clauses.
