Running a NRL club is not like any other business. You have to jump on people’s toes, you have to create trusted mouth pieces in the media, you have to break and bend rules when required, you have to be able to sweet talk the sponsors and fans and get the board to hand over large sums of money. Richo was a champion at all of the above, but like most NRL CEO’s, you can only dodge bullets for so long before one hits you. It has to be remembered, good guys seldom win and Richo knew this
