That's the grants to Balmain and the Magpies. That's into all levels? Or SG Ball/Matts?
What about junior clubs & other clubs associated?
Unfortunately no one on the board lives in the south west so they're not gonna vote for it. How do we have such a large juniour and supporter base out there but not a single seat representation from the area.If only there was a significant political figure associated with the club that could lean on the decision making....
Sort of. I think making it a big issue is a problem but you'd also be hard to find another director of a significant professional organisation doing the same.It was a witch hunt. No matter what your feelings are toward him & HBG- this always felt underhanded when it came out on this forum.
I see your point- but at no stage was that brought up. "Dirty Dennis" & his love for smut was all that was mentioned.Sort of. I think making it a big issue is a problem but you'd also be hard to find another director of a significant professional organisation doing the same.
There is a level of professionalism when youre in those roles. Its the same with his hair mate.
Its just the way the world works... If you dont put effort into these areas, where else are you lazy?
People also wouldn't be attacking him if he wasnt dragging something we all love across the coals and refusing to take accountability.
Wasnt it the independent board in 2025 that has made the call on the new stadium strategy?
In don't think funding from owners is an issue.i think it's been said by HBGout to pad out their cause.
Do we know anything about the HBG University Scholarship Program or the HBG Secondary Scholarship programs? That's the grants to Balmain and the Magpies.
As I said they do sponsor some junior clubs in the inner west
Appreciate that feedback Cochise- probably don't let you know that enough. That's the grants to Balmain and the Magpies.

Yeah, every board we've ever had just make the same calls as the previous boards !They made the same call that has been in play for the last 20yrs. The owners were on the board regardless of independence for 12mths.
Funding is an issue. If we aren’t getting it from the avenues this club leadership has mandated we can’t then they need to prop it up via other means
I know we have different points of view, but I like to discuss openly and honestlAppreciate that feedback Cochise- probably don't let you know that enough.
I had us making the 8 last year until I saw them play against Newcastle….seriously though, last year was a weak comp and we let a good opportunity go. With a couple more experienced forwards and the young guys having spent another year together, I’d be pretty dissappointed not to see us finish 8 at worst.Mods where are you... Someone's hacked Tuckers account 😅😅
Where do you think we will finish mate? Im thinking if it goes to plan, it'll be within the 6th-12th range. just depends on the luck in games with momentum and injuries.
I think the way you are carrying on is petty and more designed to toot your own horn than anything else.So your problem is I have an avenue for others to hear my opinion?
Sounds petty.
You just couldn’t help yourself - had to go personal. So you’re happy with the shambolic torpedo put through the club in December ?
If the answer is no , which it should be , after years of attempts of pressuring the club into modernising, then the only right thing was to put pressure on the HBG .
Of which they’ve since backflipped, (all board members were offered thier role back) been investigated by thier own governing body in liquor and gaming as well as had external pressure put on the nrl license by the NRL and PVL.
If the team is successful and the governance stabilised , it won’t be because Darcy and Unite guys were wrong , it will because the HBG had to walk back thier original agenda , and even lose various people from the wests tigers board .
I personally have zero issue with the HBG CEO being added to the wests tigers board , especially as he was a CFO prior to being promoted to CEO. That’s a skillet that adds value to the wests tigers board.
Guys like Montgomery and Burgess … a skill set of being able to spend 30 years playing board room survivor , adds little value to the wests tigers.
None of those moves were going to happen if not for the unite guys , people deep diving burgess instagram , and Darcy Byrne . As well as the liquor and gaming and PVL.
They were planning on continuing thier HBG survivor bullshit , that has been going on for 2 years . Only thy were looking to bring it back to the wests tigers board .
It’s all good to sit on your pedestal and criticise those who are actually trying to influence change . Rather than jumping on a forum and arguing with half of it from your soapbox in North QLD.
You just couldn’t help yourself - had to go personal.
As I've pointed out for years now, you instigate a lot of the blowups on here.
My opinion is NEITHER the HBG nor these protestors will have anything to do with how the club performs this season.
What loss? LOL….Where did he get personal? Thats the classic line when someone realises they have no comeback, they fabricate something trying to deflect. Dont deflect Tuck, face your loss head on my brother, we all have them.
What loss? LOL….
My point far outweighs his.
You all think you are important but the club goes on regardless, and the team’s fortunes does not hinge on your little picnics in the park - despite your attempts to try and convince others that they made any difference at all.
I still think we are a quality prop shirt but have us making the 8.I had us making the 8 last year until I saw them play against Newcastle….seriously though, last year was a weak comp and we let a good opportunity go. With a couple more experienced forwards and the young guys having spent another year together, I’d be pretty dissappointed not to see us finish 8 at worst.
No I want a successful Wests Tigers. Something HBG hasn't been able to achieve.I think the way you are carrying on is petty and more designed to toot your own horn than anything else.
And appear to constantly do things to actually undermined progressNo I want a successful Wests Tigers. Something HBG hasn't been able to achieve.
