Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

good deal for Laundy, huge ratings in Sydney melbourne Brisbane and continuous call still rates the highest weekend program.over SEN & Triplle M rugby league coverage.
Will be interesting as his son Craig was not fan of the likes of Hadley or Jones so perhaps some changes ahead for them.
I would have thought it would be a lot more , considering how AM especially 2GB dominates the ratings . And how audio input has far more chance of getting in your head re. Advertising than visual eg. Billboards , tv, magazines etc. I’m guessing the threat of Podcasts has driven the price down . Great deal for Landry id say .

Honestly I think paying the extra and securing a young talented fullback for the next few years is worth it.

Going out trying to find a new fullback, when there aren't many available, would suck. Right now are pushing for finals not rebuilding our spine
At the very least it provides a bedrock moving forward. We’ve spent a lot of years at this club searching for anything at fullback outside of the Tedesco years and Hodgson years(which wasn’t as long as people might think). There was a lot of years of Joel Caine, Matt Seers, no names , Moltzen (couldn’t tackle ) , McKinnon , and a whole bunch of “oh yea that guys”. Whether he pushes to origin level , or remains where he’s at , I think this club needed to put a premium on stability and minimising squad turnover to minimal .re. Only the deadwood are punted like last season in Matamua , Tumeth etc.
Even guys like Seyfarth are far from deadwood , and can provide a role.

I'm ok with 2 years if its for '27 and '28. There would still be uncertainty over the coach lasting that long so I'd playing it safe
Is this Bula? A 5 year contract isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Look at Lomax. If a player wants to leave, they’ll leave. The only thing it does is ensure us some kind of compensation as long as the club has a spine and fights for it.

Not sure about the other states (which I’m sure are high) but 2GB is the number one radio station in Sydney and also the highest streamed.
Yea i understand that and there obviously money to be made and maybe some political influence - its just that radio income is on the decline and i would think the demographics of its audience would be an ageing population with limited income.

Radio and TV. I read the other day, Hadley is considering coming back to radio. Why? Given the career he’s had, this would be a prime time in his life to do a Podcast. Some of these old fossils are really behind the times.
