I would have thought the weeks he missed suspended sitting on the sideline letting his team mates down instead of paying a fine would have certainly put doubts on his playing future if I had any say in the matter(son).

I would not like a slow passer at right center.

Heck, the trials have shown one damn good thing. Our team has a great passing game.
Really it reminded me of Manly 2008. We got the ball out of tackles and kept a good attack flow going.

Last thing I would want to do is disturb that.

Doueihi/Turuva would be a better fit at Right center. They can get the ball out to their wing, Turuva can go it himself while Doueihi can put a kick in or make a play.

I very much doubt we would get the best out of Doueihi if we moved him back to right centre.
I think it’s halves or lock for him moving forward, but if he plays 13 it could only be for 40mins per game maximum.

Yea, I agree.

Sadly we could never develop Doueihi into a center and he doesn't seem to have a strong enough defence to get the spot.

Center has to be able to defend their line and not let their winger face a 2 on 1 overlap. 100% must non-negotiable.


So we have:
Makasini
Taylan
Skelton
Turuva

as a backline, in whatever order... Were doing ok.
Depth could be a big issue. We basically have Laulili (I forget which one is a back) and with Starford injured, Bird flying away and only no-names in our squad.
Well lets see.

Have you had a look what middle forwards are currently available for 2027 ?
Besides Kaiden Lahrs and Sam Hughes, there is no middles that there is nobody that would even register any interest.
