We need to review the Bula situation at about 8pm tomorrow night.
He might step up and help win is the game which would make him much more valuable to us moving forward.
Or he might have another game where he makes minimal impact and it just adds to the doubt about him being our long term saviour.
What a difference 24hrs can make.
Who is we? You and I? Some other group?
There’s a strong sense of shared ownership.
“We.”
We need to improve. We need to be better. We weren’t good enough. We need to review.
Which is interesting.
Because the “we” doing the review - and the “we” observing the outcome - are not the same group.
But your language merges them.
So now - we’re all accountable?
For something only some people can influence?
It’s efficient.
Responsibility gets diluted. Expectations get managed.
And everyone feels involved.
Without necessarily being effective.
Also, what exactly does "help win us the game" mean? One match saving tackle, but 79 minutes of nothing? 79 minutes of brilliance, but misses the match saving tackle?
How does one game make him "more valuable going forward"? Or less valuable for that matter?
Is this just your subjective opinion you will apply? Do you have a tangible benchmark?
