Originally yes, but Maddens form would have changed that I would suspect.
Doueihi to centre now IMO.
Madden understands the big picture and what needs to be done. Optimise field position.
This let's the runners concentrate on where to run. Not trying to run and manage the game.

For me . I’d go either turuva to left wing , and Herbert to right centre leaving Tino where he is .
Or Makasini to left wing , Herbert to left centre and leave the right how it is .
Herbert was the best player on the field in cup and it wasn’t even close . Looked like Mal Meninga out there . Needed the reps under his legs , and to get his confidence back. I think he has that , and I’d be rewarding him accordingly .

He looked great in attack but I thought in defence he was beaten for speed a couple of times. I wouldn’t change our centres until Taylan gets back.

The couple of times were on sweep plays with the quick Eels fullback sweeping fast and Herbert flat footed marking up the decoy-running backrower. It was the connection with Saukuru on his outside which was the problem as Saukuru didn't jam in decisively on the 1st try & didn't jam in at all on the 2nd.

We were an absolute rabble in our sets of 6 yesterday: players missing passes, running sideways, getting stuck in narrow spaces out wide on the last. Madden repeatedly produced important well placed kicks to get us out. Very hard for half backs to do that.

I don't believe it's necessarily forever, but for the good of the team madden has earnt the 7 and deserves to keep it until performance says otherwise. I think it's an important moment for Benji in managing this team, proving to the players that he means what he says and that all players have equal treatment.

Maybe opposition teams manage to disrupt madden and he becomes too predictable and allow teams to suffocate options outside of him, so a more dynamic runner like doueihi becomes vital, but at present madden is the perfect style of player at 7 to the dynamic elite running talent on the edges. You want them getting good early ball and you want someone guiding team around. That's not really doueihi's strength.

I like doueihi a lot, I think he's a terrific halfback option compared to most of the league. However, madden is playing at too high a level to drop him from his halfback spot.

U just blow ur need for having madden as a 1/2 back , ur second paragraph, u state we were a rabble , that comes down to the 1/2 back , hes the one u said runs the team , SO what was madden doing bugger all , other than kicking the ball if that’s all he has thenngod help us
