Fair enough.

Madden has played the last 2 years injury free though, so he slots straight into the nrl and we barely missed a beat. Latu spent most of the off-season recovering didnt he?

My point being i think latu is ahead on the pecking order when fully fit, he just hasnt had the minutes on the field the last few years.

Are we into the 3rd year of them building Latu ‘up for NRL’?
Kid was up on blocks for most of the year before he got here and is still busted more often than not…

Hopefully we’re keeping our options open,
Hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel

Madden didn't play for us in the last two years so I have no idea whether he was injury free or not. Latu had a slap tear repair in the off season. He is 20 years old. My point is, if he is the future as he should be, he should be playing cup and developing in his position, rather than being used as a utility. I get he has had injuries and they've been patient with him. The he is too good to leave out is somewhat true, but I find that hard to see him where he belongs, long term in this team, when others are being nurtured in the lower grades. Andrews is a gun, he's learning his trade. Latu is not.

Pretty sure Madden was injured for most of the year last year at the broncos.

Taylan is all class he could play either side, if we signed Xerri and we trained him all summer on the right it may not bother him.

Want to see him in some space first to see if he still has good pace, if not, pass.

So he was 17 when he signed? He is 21 this month. Maybe instead of throwing him into NRL as a utility, they should nurture him so he can fulfil his potential? He is not much older than Andrews

Maybe he shouldn’t be on 500k a year while we work out if he’ll actually ever make it or not and getting basically no output from him?
 
SMH saying we have “joined the race” for Connor Watson and have a meeting with him next week scheduled … would be a good fit for us … particularly if it was just one year before he heads off to PNG ( presumably) ..,

First time in ages they have been linked to someone

We could definitely be a sniff having Jarome. Why not play with him for a year in 2027 before the chiefs in 2028 plus we are gonna in the premiership window starting next year.

Anyone got an update on Makasini. All media was saying 2 years extension but nothing official anywhere.
