Hmmmm and if the Magpies are going to be any good you'd think they'd put more money into it. On the surface it is insane in such a high profile professional competition that your reserves team coach would be part-time.

Spot on these guys are our top team back up , and a coach who is part time screams cheap , wait till Vegas comes around and you see all the board from wests Ashfield lining up to head over all expenses paid , that will be $ 100 k to 120 k min for those plonkers to get on the gravy train , I’m surprised Benji has not pushed for a better reserve grade set up , full time coach 100% , and a full time team manager

This is the type of things happening in the club that make you shake your head, not enough funds for a reserve grade full time coach it's crazy, they are responsible for getting players ready to transition into 1st grade it's so important.
I don't want to drag up the owner's debate again they are doing a reasonable job of late, but I want owners with deeper pockets and the only priority is Wests Tigers, no other distractions/drain on funds.

I feel a bit for kids that have to think about a new career, when they have been dreaming of NRL their whole life. So many junior rep stars don't make it. But had a mate who worked in Bunnings and really liked the place.
Mystery Prop takes me back! ha!

Me too, there was some fun had with that one.
Like when Tim Sheens played Danny Galea in the front row. Good times!
One of the stupidest things Sheens ever did and the worst part of it was some of our supporters blamed Danny because it did not work.
Yeah and it wasn't the era of the 'small mobile prop'. It was the era of Petero and Steve Price.

I think the bigger bet would be, how many leave before there contract expires or re-signs.

I’ll take your word for it about bouginville - i haven’t kept up to date on it.
But the point remains that you could be a social worker or an electrician and go to these areas on more coin.
Only a fraction of the people that go stay, even with the lure of more money, better compounds and more time flying back and forth. Turnovers rates are high
