Andrews was originally in the Tigers pathways before heading north.Depends if we want to give the bulk of our NSW Cup team an opportunity to continue their impressive push towards the finals, or if we want to penalise players by making them play in our NRL team?
I can tell you one thing, Javon Andrews is the real deal and is improving each and every week.
We get plenty of criticism for our pathways and I am critical of letting too many good ones go, but whoever was responsible for getting Javon Andrews to the club has come up with a master stroke.
He is 💯 ready for NRL, but as good as he is, it will likely be too big of an ask to trigger our NRL team to start winning so maybe it’s not worth the heartache of playing him in our NRL team at the moment.
I rate Doueihi higher than most, I rate Latu Fainu very highly, I rate Galvin and I acknowledge what Luai has achieved, but Andrews has more potential than all of them.
who knows we could have let Toa go and gone after Manu with cashAverillo is a fine signing. He is an upgrade on To'a.
Yep compare Wests Tigers to the three last premiership winning clubs - then we will start comparing the resources that Wests Tigers coaches have to work with and why we are in a holding pattern. The reality is the very good coaches usually sign with clubs who have strong rosters, strong financial backing and are resource rich. This is not the WTs at present.
1. Manu getting on in years.who knows we could have let Toa go and gone after Manu with cash
nah we went for Averillo, hood player however we shoukd have gone for better
What is being dished up at the moment is certainly not good enough, but I think we have to give Benji a bit more time to see if he can be smart enough to correct more of our problem areas which includes depth recruitment, team selection, game plan and execution, interchange usage etcIf Benji has zero ability to reflect upon his actions and learn from them (as he constantly says he's doing) then he has no place as a head coach.
He had ideas, he was given the freedom to execute them. They failed, now the club has no option but to follow a more proven path
Good post.Yep compare Wests Tigers to the three last premiership winning clubs - then we will start comparing the resources that Wests Tigers coaches have to work with and why we are in a holding pattern.
Fans have got their heads in the sand if they still think changing coaches will make significant difference. - may have worked 15 years ago before the rot became ingrained and player managers began overseeing the best interest of their clients.
Benji/Richardson had some cred with players that the club hasnt - one down another to go. Who in their right mind with any credibility would be brave enough to take it on ? Sheens might be up for another pay out.
Would love a public forum with the coaches and players that have been through the club - moved on or sacked - and let them tell it like it is - then we might get somewhere.
Spot on mate, you can only go after who's available and the best fit at the time, what else do people think is going to happen, you start to get an itch, then a pain and the next thing you know you're yanking a superstar centre out of your butt.1. Manu getting on in years.
2. Probably wanted too many dollars
3. Just doesn't like the Tigers.
You take the best you can afford who are willing to come here.
Not always that simple to get what you want or what the forum thinks is best.
Warriors are serious contenders if the Panthers dont nab another title. Apparently though this guys manager knows how to pick a team better than Webster. 🤣What about this bloke? I'm sure I've seen hid name mentioned here previously. Oh! But, shock, horror! He has A CLAUSE in his contract that allows him to sign elsewhere!!! 😱

Yeah I heard that.Andrews was originally in the Tigers pathways before heading north.
He is a returning Tiger!
That is exactly what is needed, but HBG believe they are world class sports administrators.Would love a public forum with the coaches and players that have been through the club - moved on or sacked - and let them tell it like it is - then we might get somewhere.
It was Benji and Gallant - the guys you've been shit potting.Yeah I heard that.
Whoever found him and whoever got him back to us this season need to be congratulated and hopefully they can find us a few more diamonds like him.
who knows we could have let Toa go and gone after Manu with cash
nah we went for Averillo, hood player however we shoukd have gone for better
how does the club know we already bought Averillo...Better likely doesn’t want to come here… you think Manu is coming here to see out his last couple of years of his career
1. how do you know how much Manu wanted contract wise ? he has only now become available1. Manu getting on in years.
2. Probably wanted too many dollars
3. Just doesn't like the Tigers.

good chance with Latu's you would think. The club is looking to downgrade Doueihi’s charge and fight Fainu’s.
How ridiculous to penalise or suspend a player for tackling too low.good chance with Latu's you would think.
