OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

That part I agree with.
But I think you will find there is a much bigger back story to all of this than what is being presented.
Well I guess that will all come out and we’ll see at that stage if it changes things, but I can’t cop what Doueihi has done. For me 2 non negotiables in any team are do as your coach says and never let your teammates down. He’s done both.

I said at the time Benji should never have been appointed (or Sheens before for that matter). I wouldn’t complain if he was moved on either, but he is the coach now and until he isn’t the players need to fall in line.

Benji didnt didnt pick Luai over Douhei, he picked Andrews over Douhei.

6. Luai
7. Douhei

Its been this way all year.

This week it appeared the line up was going to be:

6. Luai
7. Andrews

8. May
9. Api
10. Twal
11. Fainu
12. Roberts
13. Douhei

- 3 play makers with Douhei defending in the halves
- Sione, Bunty and Seyfarth as middle rotation off the bench to take on the big raiders forward pack... also means less minutes for May, which is what we have all been asking for.
- Andrews and Roberts are two KOE promotions and future NRL players.. havent you been calling for promotions?

The #13 role that Douhei was going to play is basically just another running #6, but with the option to run the ball more often.

Back to your focus on Luai, he has nothing to do with it.
You could rotate the jerseys, give Adam the #6 and Jarome the #13, it wouldnt matter. The difference between them is that Luai would still come out and play the game, make his runs, make his tackles. He hasn't dogged the team because he was upset about the number on the back of the jersey.

Next year one of the considerations looks to be Latu and Andrews in the halves, so moving Douhei to #13 for a few games isnt a bad idea, is it?

Matty Johns has said it twice today that he backs Benji's call to have 3 play makers - strategically, he knows what he is talking about.
So based on that assumption the problem could have been solved by telling Luai he is playing 13.

He wants out because he became the regular 7 and didnt get an upgrade, just got told your not the future 7 or 6 so have a crack at 13. Dont forget he signed for unders. Wouldnt surprise me if this is an issac moses ploy to get out of his contract because he has a better offer elsewhere.
Which club would have a spot in the halves for him?

Perth maybe?

Yes he has been part of the problem, but a far less part than Luai who keeps getting selected despite him heading elsewhere as of next season.
A far less problem than the ridiculous team selections and interchange use we constantly see from Benji.
You are deflecting this onto Luai,
Douehi is the issue here...im stunned you refuse to see it..well I'm not really

How was Benji to know that a professional athlete earning tens of thousands of dollars per game was going to go home and not play on the weekend because of the number on his back?

There wouldn't be a problem if the player listened to the coach, like players are meant to do.

Even if he felt hard done by... had a sook.. let it all out.. went home .. cooled off..

He should have been fronting up tomorrow for the captains run, turning up on Saturday and giving it his all against the Raiders, then had a chat with Benji on the bus home -- carry it into next week.

I like him, but he's dogging the team this weekend.

Potentially...they would be getting desparate now that humphies backflipped, AD is decent cover for 6, 7 and centres. I dont think he is a week in week out 7.
Through rounds 2-8 he was doing an ok job. Not a large sample size for any club to come in hard. Think it could only be a desperate Perth.

If only he could see his utility value.

probably see's us throwing the bank at the fainu's and realises he could get that sort of coin in Perth.

The idea is tj try and win games isn’t it?
Who has contributed most to Wests Tigers winning games over the past 18 months?
The answer is Doueihi hands down.
That being the case why is he the fall guy and how does it help us try and get another win before the 2027 season is over?

He’s not the fall guy ! he just got asked to move to lock , to allow the best half in nsw cup to come up and hopefully ignite the attack .
What are you even talking about . We have score 4 tries in 4 weeks . Something needs to change . And he is the most versatile both in body shape and playing profile to do it . Grow up

The fall guy? He has been asked to play a new role with 3 x playmakers. He is in the starting #13.

Do you not think andrews is any good?

You can put it whatever way you’ve like, but Wests Tigers will be a lesser playing roster in 2027 if they are without Adam Doueihi and I think you will find more will follow in protest,
