Im really off Bula, but to try and be fair, the guy is a centre being forced to play fullback, and is quiet as a mouse.Thats what he played all his life. I know people get obsessed with playing guys in positions that reflect their pay, but for me thats utter stupidity. You take pay out of it and just play your best team. Bula at right centre and Averillo fullback.
 
Yeah agree, his form is poor and show limited improvement.

But, do we go on potential or do you put a line through him?

And do we have much choice?

Mate I’ve been defending him largely on potential for years now.
I still say we are a better team with him in it, but that’s not a positive anymore, more a damning indictment.

Putting Tino on his arse with a fend is a distant memory. Flat out giving a high five these days.
 
I didn’t think Suli was that fast?
Just can’t get this out of my thoughts. The number of times Bula got on the outside of Suli I lost count. Suli came from behind to put him on the turf. I must be overestimating Bula’s pace?

I’ve been saying for 3 years that he doesn’t have the required attributes to be a top quality NRL fullback.
And I hate saying it because I’m reliably told he is a great bloke, very respectful and puts in plenty of effort both on and off the field.
I would ideally like to experiment him in other positions, but we have suffed that option by extending and upgrading his contract on ridiculous money.

I'm happy to give him half of next season fully fit to prove his worth at fullback but I'm leaning towards your opinion on him more & more. Just don't know how much this injury has hindered his game since the dislocation.

The danger is if he has another season similar to this one, everyone including Benji or whoever the coach is at that stage will have realised we need a change, but no other club will be calling take him off our hands for even half of what we paid him.
It will be similar story with Terrell and I and Turuva.
I also cannot see Api offering us much at all next year and will be even worse in 2028.
4 over priced bad contracts that are taking up too much cap space and preventing us from adding some much needed additional quality and depth.

Bula is lacking acceleration off the mark. I also dont recall seeing him break a tackle in god knows how long. He is 187cm and 93kg, so he isnt small and skinny.

I saw someone else post that Terrell runs hard but stops when he hits the defensive line. If we as fans can see it, surely the coaching staff can too? So why does nothing change?
