Northern Beaches Hospital marked World Breastfeeding Week with a morning tea in the Maternity Ward, recognising the staff who support women and families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
This year’s theme, “Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works”, highlights the important role health services and communities play in helping parents feel informed, supported and empowered.
Thank you to our midwives, nurses, doctors and allied health professionals for the care and support they provide to families across the maternity journey.

I remember years ago their slogan was ;WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK

Just been in northern beaches hospital with a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my ankle last wed week..
Was there 4 days with subsequent complications...settled now but back today
Nurses and doctors do a great job in very demanding circumstances...there's a lot of chit chat and whatever,but in that environment, they need some relief from the day to day drama that is in yr face non stop in that role
I try to make their lives just a little bit more interesting with anecdotes from whatever mite be relevant..sure they think its total crap..
The Plastic surgeon who did the follow up work (not the primary)said her first salary yr 1 was $67k/yr..is that we shld pay them after 6 yrs at uni plus plus..?
System aint great
These ppl do really hard yards, for relatively little reward
